Both days... Well, that was jumping into things with both feet alright, but then again, why not? This was moving very fast - she was even talking as if Friday was a possibility as well. But if she wanted to see him... It wasn't as if he didn't want to see her too.
"I don't have Skye," he replied. "Not until next Sunday. She'd love to see you, but..." he hesitated. "Unless we're planning on telling Rupert about this right away, it's probably better not to have her along when it's just the two of us. She won't keep it secret, and she sees Rupert quite a bit." He didn't like all the secrecy and keeping things from his friend, but he'd kind of assumed they wouldn't be telling Rupert quite yet, if at all (depending on what happened).
He noted her reaction to the idea of making something up to tell Jack, and guessed that she felt the same as he did about the lying. "Tell you what," he suggested, "The other guys'll all be at work during the day on Monday. Why don't you come round to the flat, mid-morning, say 10.30, and we'll meet there and go out somewhere - there are some nice Muggle places round about." He didn't want to make a big deal of it, like he didn't want to be seen with her, but the truth was that if they went out to one of the popular Wizarding places, it was only a matter of time before someone they knew saw them. "And we can work out the rest of the week from there," he added. "Don't worry about Friday if it's difficult. But I'm free if it does turn out you can get out easily." He smiled at her, slightly teasingly. "I wouldn't want to get you into trouble, after all..."

"Oh, no, that's fine," Lissie said. "I don't want to impose on your time with her, either." It was true; while she didn't mind meeting with Jake with his daughter, she knew that their time together was limited. And as Jake pointed out, Skye was a talker and if Rupert found out from the little girl that her dad and Rupert's little sister were together....
"Good point," Lissie agreed with a small laugh. She shook her head, and felt a small blush creeping into her cheeks. "I don't really want to tell my brothers about... whatever we're doing here. Not now." She didn't know if they would ever find out. Maybe it would be just a summer romance. Lissie hoped it would be more, but she wasn't holding her breath.
She nodded, agreeing to their plan. "That sounds perfect," Lissie said happily. She had been out in muggle London a fair few times, but mostly with her brothers. Jack did love the zoo after all. "Maybe you can show me some of your favorite spots in London. I've only been to a handful of places - mostly the zoos." She laughed, realizing how ridiculous she probably sounded.
Lissie smirked and took one of her arms from around Jake's neck and gently shoved his shoulder. "Don't you worry about me getting into trouble," she said. "We'll figure something out." Her positivity was strong.

"Nah, you wouldn't be." Jake shook his head. "I mean, I like to take her out just the two of us sometimes, but we don't have to do that every time. Half the time the other guys are around anyway, and then my family demands to her occasionally too." He found himself quite liking the idea of him and Lissie taking Skye out together, and firmly put this idea out of his head. It couldn't happen anyway, not if they wanted to keep this quiet.
He nodded, feeling guiltily relieved at the choice she'd made - however he felt about keeping things from Rupert, the weight of the decision had been removed from him. He certainly couldn't say anything if Lissie didn't want him to, because it was her family after all. "That's cool," he said, asking no questions about why she didn't want to tell them. It was enough that she didn't.
"I don't have that many favourite spots," he told her with a laugh. "I've only lived in London since I moved in with the guys, and I never really went there before that, except to go to Diagon Alley. I know a few places near the flat though." A lot of the places he knew were bars and clubs, not exactly the nicest or most suitable places for coffee or food during the day, but he knew the odd coffee shop too. "And I took Skye to the zoo once," he added, at her mention of that place, before looking at her quizzically. "D'you go there often then?"
He was still laughing a little as she shoved him, though there was a slightly more serious expression underneath it. Trouble was something that tended to happen around Jake, but he didn't want to cast shadows right now. "Okay, fine," he agreed. "So long as you don't go walking into it." He would have to go soon, he realised, if he wanted to be in time for Skye - and he still had to buy something for her. On another impulse, however, he bent his head and captured her lips again briefly. Then he smiled at her. "I should go and buy something for Skye..." he said, slightly regretfully.

The thought of Jake and Skye spending time together was a cute thought, and Lissie smiled to herself. She remembered the days when she and her father would spend time together, just the two of them. It was important. When Jake mentioned his family, Lissie was surprised for some reason, though she didn't let it show at all. She knew that Jake had a family, but she had never really given them much thought. Suddenly, she wanted to ask about them, but there would be time for that later.
"She's a popular little girl," Lissie commented. It was most likely a relief for Jake, seeing how well his roommates had taken to the girl. Lissie knew he had been worried about them meeting her. She nodded briefly, feeling a little uncomfortable. Was it an omen that neither one of them wanted to tell her family about... this, whatever it may be? It didn't appear as if Jake wanted to tell them, either, but part of Lissie wondered if maybe he did. Maybe they ought to be honest from the beginning. Nothing good was going to come of hiding this.... Lissie closed her eyes briefly to dismiss the thoughts. No matter what - whether it was now or later - they were going to have to fight to be together. It was just how it was going to be.
Lissie smiled, an idea popping into her head. "Well, then, we will have to go on an adventure," she said firmly. Adventures could be fun. Even if they got lost, she knew they would still have a good time. Her face lit up. "Oh! Have you even been on the... that underground train? We should take that somewhere and just... explore." She suddenly felt excited at the thought of getting lost in London with Jake. Lissie laughed and gave a small shake of her head, paired with a half-shrug. "Jack loves going to the zoo. He's like a child when we go. So, yeah, I've been a fair few times."
She smiled and murmured "I won't" before Jake's lips caught hers. A goodbye kiss. Those were significant, weren't they?
"Yes, you should," Lissie said. "And I... I should get going." She unhooked her hands from around his neck, suddenly feeling as if she wouldn't ever see him again. She gave him a small smile. "10:30, Monday." It wasn't a question; it was a confirmation. Now all she had to worry about was getting out of the house and hoping that Jake didn't back out on his offer.
((OOC: i have no clue where Lissie grew up, so i'm going to say that it wasn't London, lol. and that she's never been on a subway/the tube before.))

"She is," Jake agreed with a grin. "And she knows it." Possibly Skye's prima donna tendencies would get difficult as she got older, but for now it seemed more important that she knew she was loved and valued. And there was little chance that she would be materially spoilt, so a bit of emotional spoiling didn't seem so bad.
He wasn't sure what they were going to do about telling people. Was it going to become the sort of thing that you told people? Jake wasn't used to keeping his various flings a secret, but none of them had been quite like this. Was this even a fling? He didn't really know. He wouldn't mind it being more, but God, he'd have to be careful. Jake had dated people before, even had what might be termed girlfriends, but he'd never done exclusivity. It had never mattered if he'd kissed and slept with other people at the same time, because the girls he'd been seeing had been equally relaxed about it for the most part, but Lissie was different. He realised that he'd already feel guilty if he went and hooked up with someone else now, which was a feeling he definitely wasn't used to.
Shaking this thought from his head, he smiled back at her again. "An adventure sounds good," he said genuinely. "And yes, I have, quite a few times. I used to come down to Diagon Alley by train before I was old enough to Apparate, and get the tube across London. So I know what I'm doing - more or less." He laughed at her description of her older brother. "That's hard to imagine - well, I guess not really, he was always into teaching about different creatures. But even though I was friends with Rupert, I only really knew him as Professor Hewer..."
He would have been quite happy to linger here for quite a lot longer, but they both had reasons to leave, and anyway, the shop would not stay empty forever. "Yeah, 10.30," he agreed. "I promise I'll be more awake than last time you dropped in. And are you okay for getting home or whatever just now?" he added. She was old enough to Apparate, but that didn't necessarily mean she had her license, and he didn't know how she'd got here.
((OOC - lol, that sounds fine! i've only been on the tube a handful of times myself, haha, being a northerner like jake...))

"Good then!" Lissie said excitedly with a grin. She could already feel the excitement building inside of her. They would go on an adventure and Jake would take her on the... the tube and everything would be brilliant. The only thing she hoped for was that the rain, if it was on it's way, would hold out. Then again, if it rained, it didn't mean they had to cancel their plans. They could still explore; they would just be huddled together under an umbrella....
Lissie nodded. "Yeah, I'll be fine," she reassured him. She was soaring right now and the trek back to Hogwarts might take less time because she suddenly felt the urge to run. Was that cheesy? Ugh, it really was. Lissie thought about giving Jake another kiss, but she held back. Instead she reached over to squeeze his hand. "Tell Skye I said 'hello'." And with that, she turned away from Jake and headed out of the shop. She glanced back at him as she opened the door, flashed him a warm smile and then disappeared into the crowd.
((OOC: finished? you can post something else if you'd like.))
