Ainsley tried to catch her breath, her chest rising and falling rapidly and her heart still racing much more quickly than was probably healthy. She glanced over at Leo, who was lying next to her in the grass right by the tree he’d pushed her up against a little while ago, and smiled to herself, well aware that her cheeks were flaming red. They were both still shirtless, and the feel of the grass and the light breeze against her bare skin was refreshing, as only moments earlier her skin had been so hot at his touch that she’d almost felt like it was on fire.

She hadn’t wanted to go all the way - not that she hadn’t wanted to, technically, but she’d listened to the very tiny, rational part of her mind that had told her it wasn’t the best idea - and Leo had thankfully understood that. Regardless, she’d never been touched like that before, and it had been beyond amazing, to say the least. Turning over to lean on her elbow and face him, no longer lying on her back and staring up at the sky, she met his gaze, fingers moving to absent-mindedly draw circles upon his bare forearms.

“Like I said already,” she began finally, voice still a bit uneven, “You’re really cute.” She found herself grinning at him, as these were the same words she’d said right before she’d leaned up and kissed him the first time, and it seemed silly to think about that now that they’d gone much farther than just kissing. Again, she was skeptical about whether she’d done anything right, but the feel of his body so close next to hers at the moment was enough of a distraction to keep her from doubting herself too much.

Leo felt a smile come unbidden to his face at Ainsley's words, diverting his gaze from the sky to glance over at her. He knew was unabashadly letting his eyes look up and down her body, but after everything they'd just done, he was pretty sure she wouldn't mind, especially since she looked ten different kinds of beautiful lying next to him, still half-naked with her skirt revealing rather more of her legs than it had before they'd started kissing. Her cheeks were flushed red, and her breaths were coming heavy, which did all sorts of interesting things to her chest. He rolled over to face her properly as she began to draw electricity-inducing patterns on his arms.

"You're pretty cute, too," he told her, his smile brightening as he looked at her. Gently, he reached one arm over to let his fingers rest on her side, running softly over her skin. Though they hadn't done much more than make out and let both hands and lips explore each other's bodies, he still counted it as one of the more successful dates of his life. "We should probably," he began somewhat reluctantly, "get going. It's almost time for dinner, and I promised my siblings I'd be home."

“Thanks,” Ainsley replied, a giggle escaping her before she could stop it, her eyes stuck on his bright smile. The way he was looking at her and the thought of what they’d just done made her feel dizzy, almost, because it was all too surreal. She could still barely believe how the afternoon had turned out, and was already wondering when she’d see him again, which was bad. Probably. However, she presently couldn’t conjure up any reason as to why it was bad, not after how he’d made her feel a few minutes ago.

She sighed contentedly as his fingers ran down her side, not wanting to move at all, so when he brought up leaving, she bit her lip so she wouldn’t frown - she needed to get a grip, not get invested - and moved one of her hands to rest on the side of his neck. She’d caught the reluctance in his tone, and was hoping that it wouldn’t be too difficult to convince him to stay, even for just a little while longer. “Do we have to?” she asked, leaning in slightly so her lips were hovering teasingly close to his, “I promised mine I’d be home, too, yet here we both still are…”

The way she sighed when he touched her kind of made him not want to move at all, ever again. Which probably wasn't the best of ideas, but when he was looking at Ainsley and she was suddenly so very close again, he couldn't remember why it wasn't the best of ideas, anyway. Leo laughed at her imploring him to stay, because it wasn't like he particularly wanted to leave, either. Without answering, he slid his hand down the curves of her body, stopping near her skirt's hemline and sliding upwards again till his fingers were resting gently on her bare thighs. Though she hadn't taken off the skirt, which he didn't much mind because she looked pretty fantastic in it, it was still hiked up enough to offer him fairly easy access, and she didn't seem to be protesting.

"You'll have to give me a good reason," he told her with a grin, using his other hand to push himself even closer to her body until they were touching at almost every point, from face to chest to arms to legs. "A very good reason," though, in all honesty, he had his reason when he closed the space between their lips with another kiss that managed to completely rid his mind of any thoughts of dinner or home or leaving entirely.
