Well, would you look who finally decided to write! If you hadn’t signed off and I didn’t recognize your handwriting, I wouldn’t even think this was from you to begin with. It’s like you’ve forgotten all about me since term ended. Typical.

My summer’s been alright. Nothing special, though, I’ve just been meeting up with Addie and Faye and Letha sometimes. What have you been up to?

I was just waiting for the opportune moment to write. Not too soon or too late, obviously. And mum had our owl all over the place for like a week so I didn't exactly put in a lot of effort hunting another down. He only got in long enough to send out a letter to Karina before mum grabbed him again. I would never forget you Ains. What do you take me for?

Just alright? And not much. I've hung around my brother and Karina a bit. Other than that, I've been pretty lazy. Sleep is wonderful. Been to a couple of my dads practice matches though.

Do you want to meet up sometime? I guess I could get out of bed.

Ah, makes sense. I guess I can forgive you just this once, as long as you don’t forget about me again (because that’s definitely what happened, don’t try to come up with excuses). So you have been keeping in touch with Karina! That’s interesting. How is she doing?

There’s been nothing wrong with it, don’t worry. I didn’t mean alright in a bad way. Just in a neutral way. And you’ve been hanging out with Karina, that’s even better. How’ve the practice matches been going? You should take Karina to a practice match. I bet that’d be fun, and she’d be impressed.

I don’t think so.

I wouldn’t want to intrude on your precious relationship with your bed, but meeting up sometime would be nice! Just let me know when you’re willing to stop being lazy.

Well, that's good A. And they've been going alright. Dad said he's retiring after this season, though. I actually met a Slytherine girl whose dad is on the same team my dad. And she would be impressed with what? My dad?

I always seem to forget that you have actual friends other than me and your bed. It’s such a surprise, to be perfectly honest. Oh, so you’ve invited Karina to stop by and not me? How is that supposed to convince me that you share an equal level of friendship with each of us? Someone’s clearly in deep denial.

No, she’d be impressed by your initiative in inviting her to do something other than just sit around at your house. Seriously, how do you function without me to give you advice?
