Did you get my postcard? Actually Mum says you probably didn't, because it takes longer for postcards to get home than people, which sucks. You'll get it soon though! And I have presents for everyone from Greece!

How are you? What have I missed? Other than you, obviously, because I've missed you like stupid amounts. I mean, it was nice to be with the fam, obviously, but they don't make up for you guys. Plus, Max was grumpy the entire time, which meant Mum was also grumpy. Anyway, you have to catch me up on everything because I feel like I'm completely out of the loop. And also, we should meet up if we can. It sucks to be off the floo network.

IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE MISSED YOU?

No! I didn't get anything, but I'll check the post later. I've been holed up in my room for the last few days, marathoning anything and everything. i watched this programme last night about a kid who went missing after he walked to the shop for something, i can't remember what. and then there was the gran who turned out to be an axe murderer What'd you buy me from Greece? Merlin, I wish I could have gone! Instead mum's been attempting to get some last minute HoM info into my head. That and mum wants me to get down some of the ingredients for a lot of basic potions that I managed to explode last year. How was I suppose to know that more than one handful of bezoar would make something explode? She keeps equating potions to baking, but I don't want to eat half of the stuff we make in Shacklebolt's course. I eat everything while baking.


I'm in utter dispair, Maddie! Piper's disappeared, and I'm broke. Fe invited me over to her parent's shop and Kai wanted me to go for ice cream with him, but i've been a but I haven't heard from him in a bit. I think his family may have kidnapped him; did he tell you about the random guy kid surfing at King's Cross that turned out to be some long lost relative?

Did I tell you how much I missed you? And why was Max grumpy? Tell him to buck up.

Meet up if we can? Are you insane? It's been me and the telly for the majority of my hols, I MISS YOU. We're meeting up!

I missed you too! It sucked that we were away so long, but Mum and Pete decided it was big family bonding time, so what can you do? (Also, my name is spelt Madeleine, but I'm going to assume you just forgot an e in your excitement to get a letter from me, not that you don't know how to spell my name xxx)

Why have you been holed up? And I'm not telling you what I got you - you have to wait and see. Wow, she's making you do work? I don't know about baking, Ria, but it would help to follow the instructions. You know I love your explosions though - they always make Potions a bit more exciting.

Disappeared? Like, actually disappeared, or just off working/doing things with her friends? If she's actually disappeared, you should probably do something about that. And I can't go anywhere to meet you guys because Mum's worrying over letting me go by train by myself - Fe was talking about getting a portkey and coming up and visiting me though, so you should do that too! And yeah, I got a really weird owl from Kai while I was in Greece, but he didn't really explain anything??? It's so weird and so amazing - has his birth family really found him? I wrote to him to tell him I was back too, but he hasn't answered yet. I mean, is this whole thing legit? Because I'm kind of a bit worried about him.

You might have mentioned it. It wasn't as much as I missed you though. And Max is always grumpy. At least, he is when he has to go anywhere with the whole family. I swear I thought it was meant to be teenagers who didn't want to be seen with their families - he's not even thirteen yet!

Like I say - portkey seems like the way forward. Unless I can convince my Mum to let me go to London by myself, but I doubt it.

Next time family bonding time should involve you coming here, and bonding with me. Just saying. (I haven't gotten a letter from you in ages and you want to fret about your name. Tsk. Tsk. You should sort out your priorities; I'm hurt. Kidding.)

I've been a bit distracted by the telly. Do you know how wonderful it is having half-blood parents who enjoy muggle technology. Doesn't interfere with magic all the time. I keep finding new programmes to watch. someone should take it away from me What if I don't want to wait and see, though? That's not fair at all. Yeah, she's making me get my 'act' together. Apparently acceptable is code for 'will fail next year' for mum. I mean I did get an E in Hewer's, that should count for something, right? Though the almost P in potions . . . anyways. Instructions are boring though. It's always much more exciting to see what happens when you use them as a suggestion and not absolute truth. Not everything always explodes.

I'm going to go with the latter, though if she actually disappeared I'd be utterly devastated. She talks far too much, and is the definition of a gossip, but I love her. Mum isn't going to let me take the train alone, either, so I could probably head to Fe's and take the portkey. Sounds like the best option. She'll probably corner me and make me help her find a mate for her lizard. I wonder what goes on in that shop at times. haha. Apparently his family as found him. Still not certain about the guy on the train platform, but yes. They're like high and mighty pureblood prats or something like that. I'm slightly worried if its legit; I mean the guy found him on a train platform, but Kai says not to worry. I don't know, I told him to keep his guard up - someone may seem like they're your friend and next thing you know they're locking you in a closet. it's not fun

Good, but i guarantee i missed you more. You've got Max, I've got a missing sister, even though he's grumpy.

I'll tell my mum that, I'm sure she'll be cool with it.

You're lucky - my non-magical parents only let me watch a limited amount of TV. And if it has blood, swearing or sex in it, I have to wait until after 8.30 so Lauren and Beth are in bed. I've tried telling Mum she could solve this by letting me have a TV in my room, but she said no.

That sucks. I haven't touched my homework yet, with Greece and everything. I should probably get started on that. And think positive - it was only an almost P, after all. Everything nearly always explodes though, let's be honest. I bet Shacklebolt enjoys it too, really, whatever she says.

Your sister's awesome, she makes me want to have a big sister. And you should! I wish we were on the Floo network, it sucks so much. Yeah, she was talking to me about finding a mate for her lizard too. I don't know where she thinks she's just going to find a random lizard. Did she tell you what she'd called the one she already has??

Wow, really? He still hasn't answered my letter - I'm actually kind of worried. I mean, I guess he's going to pretty busy with it all, but has anyone actually heard from him recently? Is it all being done properly, like legally and stuff?
