let's make a night you won't remember {OLIVIA}

Knockturn Alley. Libby had grown up with her family down this alley, so it was familiar to her during the daylight or during the darkness of the night. She had plans to meet up with Olivia at one of the smaller, secluded pubs in the strange alley. She hadn't wanted to venture out into muggle London tonight, so Knockturn Alley had been her first thought. It wasn't that Libby didn't like muggle London; she loved it. But she wanted to be in a more familiar area tonight for some reason she couldn't explain.

Libby walked down the uneven ground of the alley, ignoring most of the people she walked by. Some of them she knew, some of them she didn't. Loads of people hung out in the alley - and it also seemed to be a popular place for drunken couples to... copulate. Libby tried not judge as she walked by a couple, who didn't seem to notice her; she and Lee had their own desires to make their sex life interesting, but in Knockturn Alley? No, that certainly didn't seem appealing.

"Oh, thank goodness," Libby muttered to herself as she reached the pub. She walked inside just as she heard the girl's loud moan. Thankfully, the rest of it was cut off by the door slamming shut and the loud voices in the bar. Finding a small table in the corner, Libby sat down on one of the tall stools. She drummed her fingers along the sticky top of the circular table, looking around the bar. Olivia would be here shortly, though Libby didn't mind if her friend was late at all. Someone sauntered over to her table to take her order. She ordered the strongest drink they had and then leaned against the back of the stool.

Perhaps, Olivia considered as she strolled along the cobblestone of Knockturn Alley, wearing her favourite black suede pumps hadn't been her brightest idea, to date (although, admittedly, it was far from the worst; that title went to a mistake she'd made outside of her marriage a few years back). Balancing on the stones and stepping over some rather unmentionable liquids and trash proved to take a lot more concentration than she was use to giving. No matter for Olivia, however. Tonight, she was on a bit of a mission, one that involved catching up with an old friend, and maybe drinking herself senseless (Good thing Libby lived just a short distance away). Her children were off, Niama with her cousin, Noah with Lee and Felicity. Tonight was her night to relax, de-stress and forget how she'd gotten to this point in her life.

The sound of her heels continued to resound as she made her way to the little dive bar that she knew her friend enjoyed frequently. While Olivia wasn't one to frequent dive bars - she was known for being a bit high maintenance in some circles, Knockturn Alley didn't bother her, not one bit. Though at times people who knew her history, and who were old enough to know her history, still whispered about her presence, it bothered her not. 'A pureblood, with Death Eater ties in Knockturn Alley'; must be up to no good! None of that mattered to Olivia, though. Ever since her father's death and the subsequent splitting of her family along enemy lines, and her own . . . affairs later in life, she was used to the gossip. She pressed on, the bar in sight as she caught sound of some rather illicit moaning, bitting back the urge to yell to the couple to find an enclosed space. With a roll of her eyes, Olivia swung the bar door opened. Her brown eyes searched for the tiny brunette and she found her, sitting at a circular table.

She eased her way over, slipping off the black blazer she wore and setting it on the back of the chair and plopping herself down in front of Libby. She crossed her long legs at the knee, and swung them casually, watching as a waited sauntered over with a drink for Libby. Quickly she instructed the waiter to get her whatever her friend was having, and keep it coming for both of them. Her eyes followed the waiter as he walked off to do as instructed.

"Waiting long, Mrs. Jordan?" Olivia asked with a genuine smile, though not in the slightest willing to truly apologise if Libby had been. Her inability to apologise was always her downfall.

Libby saw one of her best friends enter the pub, but didn't bother waving Olivia down. Because in the second that it would take to raise her arm, Olivia would have spotted her by then. And Libby was right; almost immediately, Olivia found her and made her way over. Behind her was the waiter. Libby took a swig of her drink as her best friend sat down and ordered the same drink, demanding that they keep coming. Libby raised her drink and gave a curt nod to the waiter, indicating her agreement.

Then she turned to Olivia and grinned widely. She shook her head. "Not at all, Liv," Libby said easily. Even if she had been, she wouldn't have said a thing. There was no way that Olivia would apologize, so it was easier to just go with the flow. Which is what Libby did, anyway. She knocked back another swig of her drink and then set it on the table. "Hey, d'you want to order something to munch on?" They would get into the more personal questions later, after they got settled with their drinks. But Libby found herself craving some boneless chicken wings and this pub made the best ones around.
