HETEROSEXUAL
LIAM HEMSWORTH
RUPERT JONATHAN HEWER
FULL NAME: rupert jonathan hewer ETYMOLOGY: Rupert, meaning bright fame. Jonathan, meaning gift of god. NICKNAMES: Rupe. AGE/DOB: 21 / February 15th, 2003 WAND: beech, unicorn mane hair, 11 inches, unyielding PETS: A dog named Paprika. FINANCIAL STATUS: middle class. He has a decent job, which he loves and which keeps him on a good salary. BODY TYPE: He's quite fit. He's got broad shoulders, and well toned arms and chest. He hasn't got abs which stand out, but there defined enough to know they're there. BODY MODIFICATIONS: He used to have an eyebrow piercing in school, but he stopped wearing it a few months ago. It's still there though, even if it's starting to close up. He also has a tattoo that says 'Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die' under his ribcage, and one around his upper arm that says ' Fear not death for the sooner we die, the longer we shall be immortal.' CLOTHING STYLE: Rupe is one of the most casually dressed guys around. If it were up to him, he'd go to work in pajamas, which isn't saying a lot since he wears only boxers to bed. Apart from his work, where he's forced to wear clothes made of thick and durable material which has been charmed to not easily burn or slash through, he prefers jeans and t-shirts, or sweat pants and sweat shirts, really. The only time he makes even a remote effort to look presentable is if he's on a date or if he's going out to party. LIKES: Magical Creatures Popcorn Summer season The beach Muggle technology Breakfast food Travelling Women DISLIKES: Judgmental people Spring season (he's allergic to most flowers) Waking up early Heart to heart conversations Vibrant colors Hypocrites Wool Soup STRENGTHS: He's quite determined when he wants something and has a one track mind about his goals. He's physically, quite strong, which is a bit helpful in his line of work. He doesn't judge at all. He can sing and sound good at the same time. WEAKNESSES: He's violently allergic to flowers of any kind, and usually needs strong anti allergens in the spring season. (The allergies usually trigger his asthma, which otherwise stays dormant for most of the year, but causes a lot of shortening of breath and wheezing) He's very lazy and not a morning person at all. He can't pass at potions to save his life. HABITS/QUIRKS: He always, always showers at night and never, ever in the morning. He eats breakfast food for dinner, and reheats food meant for dinner for breakfast. He's obsessive about the number of objects kept in his room or in his house. For example, if there's three beer cans in the fridge, he'll throw the third one out or drink it (even if he's in a hurry or full to the brim) so that there's an even number, or he'll only buy four photo frames and not five. WISHES/GOALS: For their family to be wholly happy again, which he's never really seen since he was orphaned. To fall in love. It doesn't seem like a big thing, but from what Rupe's heard, it's bloody brilliant and worth the pain it costs. He usually dates a lot of girls to try and find the 'one' because he really badly wants to know what love feels like. FEARS: cockroaches (he'll take on dragons, but those tiny creepy crawlies are a no-no) being burnt from dragons flowers BOGGART: His boggart is anybody in his family (yes, even his sister in law is counted) or his friend circle dying. It usually takes the form of a grave, one of the tombstones he was intently focussing on during his father's funeral and that's the only image etched in his mind which he associates with death and losing loved ones. He never attended his mother's funeral) WORST MEMORY: His worst memory was receiving the news of his mother's death. It was so unfathomable to lose her that he went into a state of denial. BEST MEMORY: The day Lissie was born. He was all of 5 years old and tiny, but he wanted to see the baby girl who everyone was making such a fuss of and he was pretty sure it's the most potent of memories he has where everything was bright and happy. SECRETS: 1) He never felt all that bad when their father died. He hates how it affected his siblings, and he loved his old man, but he wasn't all that close to him growing up, and he'd been around when he fell ill and his death was something inevitable and something he prepared himself for. He felt hollow and horrible, but he wasn't pained or particularly broken. 2) His first real girlfriend (meaning, somebody he cared for and didn't just date) was this Spanish bartender he met after graduation. They dated for a few weeks before making it official and the relationship lasted a few months before she introduced her parents to him. The day he went over to their place, he learnt that her younger brother had been a cancer patient and had survived all odds and was a healthy boy. He dumped her the next day, making up some unbelievable excuse, just because he was jealous and he thought it was unfair. Eventually he felt bad about it, and they tried to fix things, but it didn't work out and they separated for good. It was the one time he acted judgmental when it wasn't even her fault, or the kid's. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Daring - He loves to try new things and doesn't fear the unknown or untried. Daredevil would be an apt nicknamed for him because he's always been the kind of guy who takes risks, and lives life to the fullest. If he wants to do something, consequences be damned, he'll do it. Be it taming dragons (female ones, that too), bungee jumping or speed racing without protective gear, nothing is too dangerous for this Hewer right here. Romantic - All things said and done, he's a romantic at heart. He dates girls, has had a fling or two (no one night stands, mind you) but he really, truly believes that he has somebody out there who's just like him, who's the missing jigsaw piece in his life. He really thinks that he's going to meet a girl someday, who's going to make his insides melt, his eyes go sparkly and his world turn over, and it's going to be epic. Escapist - He doesn't accept things which don't go the way they should. If something traumatic happens to him, which it has, he doesn't deal with it. Instead, he shuts a lid on it and moves onto anything which will distract him from dealing with the crisis he's pretending isn't really happening. Genuine - He isn't a liar, probably the worst one around. He can't be false, nor can he be particularly conniving or ruthless. He's a down to earth guy, who's genuine in everything he says or does. He isn't naive, so he won't readily believe whatever you feed him, but he isn't the guy you need to be on a lookout for if you're in trouble with him. Temperamental - Rupert has a horrid temper and a rather short fuse when it comes to his patience. He can't tolerate things which annoy him for long and usually snaps fast enough. He isn't going to kill you, but his looks could and he doesn't really think twice before shouting or screaming at a person who's pissed him off. FATHER: James Hewer, deceased (died of cancer) MOTHER: Louise Hewer, deceased. SIBLINGS: Jack Hewer Charles Hewer George Hewer Annabel Hewer OVERALL HISTORY: Rupert was the third born son in a family of five children, and he's probably one of the few who wouldn't have minded a couple more. He always loved his siblings, running around after his elder brothers because he was too bored staying in, or messing around with his mother's make up as he pretended to be a potion maker and mix her lotions and perfumes together. He was never close to his father, always thinking of him as 'that-man-who's-last-name-i-share-and-the-one-i-never-really-understood'. He did love his father and the few times they hung out together, it was nice but it wasn't like it was with his mother or siblings. His relationship with them, though, was as loving and healthy as a relationship can get. His mother was his go-to, and he was always doing as she said. He was a complete mama's boy and not the least bit ashamed of it, no matter how much he knew he would get teased about it. He was a baby when Jack was sent to Hogwarts, and three years old when Charles went, so he only really remembers hanging around them in the holidays. The siblings he was more close to were George and Lissie, both of whom he adored, because they were his only real playmates. It was at the age of seven that he showed real signs of magic. Although he didn't know the full details of the situation, he knew he had some sort of breathing problems whenever he was around dusty areas or sometimes if he ran too much or exerted himself. His mother had always told him it was spring allergies which triggered something which sounded like 'assma' (asthma) which he found amusing, and being the unruly kid he was, never really listened to her. He'd been playing in the gardens with George when he tripped over Lissie's toys(kept on a mat she was sitting on with their mum) and fell face first into a hibiscus shrub. He doesn't remember much, only the feel of pollen in his face and his eyes watering because he couldn't breathe and he was so sure he was going to die. Except he fell flat into the mud before his mum and dad got to him and the bush had vanished. He vowed to never really go near flowers again, although the magic bit was very cool. When he finally received his acceptance to Hogwarts, he was excited as hell to see what the fuss was all about. He was immediately sorted into Gryffindor, and had already made some friends on the train as he ran up and down the compartments. He fit into the school and although he missed his mum and siblings (except George, who was with him), he didn't mind being off on his own, exploring the castle and grounds and getting into trouble. It was in third year that he truly became passionate about anything other than playing pranks and doing stunts on the Quidditch Pitch, namely Care of Magical Creatures. It was a quirky subject to fall in love with, but he adored it and he knew when he grew up he was going to become just like Jack and tame dragons. But a few months into the third year, Jack visited him at school and told him that their father was ill. This surprised him a bit, because that wasn't something he was ever bothered about but when Jack told him he was severely ill, Rupert got worried. Amidst all the lack of affection between them, he'd never considered the possibility of losing him, but when he went home for the holidays and saw how ill he was, he realized that maybe it was a goodbye. His father died a few weeks later, and Rupert felt bad when he wasn't as moved as his crying family at the funeral. He spent the rest of the ritual staring at somebody else's gravestone because he was too ashamed to meet his family's eyes. He went back to school, a little confused on just how to handle his new life where his mother was busy handling everything and his brothers weren't quite there around him. Jack moved back to England and became the Head of his House, but that didn't particularly change anything. Rupert gave up trying to understand soon enough and went back to his old life, knowing they would all heal eventually. He graduated with 4 NEWTS and immediately applied for a dragon training program in Romania, where his brother had first been and went there right after. It was a year later, when he turned nineteen that he got a letter explaining that something was wrong with their mother. He remembers not being able to breathe, and his girlfriend had to run and get his asthma pump for him because he felt himself drop to his knees. He knew the right thing was to go home, to fix things because the metaphorical roof of his life seemed to be crashing around him. But he took a leaf out of his brother's book and fled to Australia for the next few months, ignoring every and all letters from his family. When they stopped coming, he opened the last one, stating that his mum had passed away and the funeral was in three days. He went to Spain and spent the rest of the week on the beach, flirting with girls because going back was not an option. It was only a few months later that he realized how he'd let down his family and his mother by not being their for them when they could use all the help he could give. Asking for a transfer from Romania to England in any way, he moved back to help his family look after Lissie, who was being forced to move to his old school. For a long time he was awkward around them for abandoning all of them, but he's come to terms with his mistake and doesn't beat himself up about it anymore. Instead, things seem to be slowly falling into place, bit by bit, and he started his new job working on legally training dragons in England. He lives in an apartment with his friends from school, Jake, David and Kieran and things are going much better than he could've expected them to go. BROOKE NINETEEN GMT+5:30 |
