Chloe was nearly jittering with excitement. She had a very large bag over one arm, her hair wet and scraped up into a bun, and a large clanky set of bangles on either wrist that jingled together now as she raised her free hand to bang loudly on her best friend Rose's front door. Very well aware that Rose was sharing this flat with her cousin Albus, Chloe hoped sincerely that Albus was out, since she was wearing the very unflattering combination of one of her dad's holey old jumpers and a pair of leggings that ought to have been consigned to the bin a long while ago, along with not a scrap of make-up. The transformation into a goddess of the night would take her time enough without having to remove her normal day time look as well. Chloe Nott did not usually believe in going anywhere less than perfectly groomed, and this foray into the outside world thus underdressed was one she'd only permitted herself following the logical reasoning that she was apparating straight from her house to the outside of Rose's, and she'd shared a dorm with Rose and Dom for seven years, so it hardly mattered if they saw her so bare. Someone outside the circle of her ex-dormmates was a different matter entirely. Obviously her brother saw her like this very regularly, but that was Seb, so.
Luckily, Rose opened the door rather than Albus, and so it was with especial delight that Chloe flung herself onto her friend. Her bag landed on her foot as she yanked Rose into a hug, her arms circling her friend's neck and squeezing for dear life.
"Rose!" she squealed into the other girl's hair, bouncing up and down whilst still in the embrace, "I'm so excited!"
With that, she released Rose and entered the flat with a flourish, beginning instantly to pull the various dresses she was considering as options for that evening out of her bag, anxious to hang them up before they creased any further.

Rose - after seven years - was used to the over-enthusiastic greetings of her best friend, and so she suffered them graciously; hugging Chloe back tightly. She missed Chloe ridiculous amounts these days: it was very strange to have gone from living with her everyday to never at all, and it wasn't like the old school holidays in which she knew she'd always go back. This was like being a grown-up.
"Me too!" she beamed, closing the door and following Chloe back in to the little flat, picking up a hairbrush that escaped Chloe's bag along with her dress. "Al's gone out - I think he might've fled to Jamie's for the night. Or maybe not. I'm really not sure - but anyway, we can drink as much wine and listen to as much terrible music as we like, without fear of terrifying him!"
They'd entered her room now, and she bounced past Chloe to sit cross-legged on the bed. Unlike Chloe, Rose's getting-ready routine was generally a lot quicker, but she'd already showered in preparation on the basis that Chloe would probably do at least something to Rose's appearance. "Let me see your dresses," she demanded happily. Chloe's clothes were always beautiful, and whilst Rose wouldn't put in the effort to look as good as Chloe every day, she could definitely appreciate them once in a while.

It was perhaps a very lucky thing indeed that Dominique Weasley was in the possession of an awful lot of energy, because she surely needed it; the day had started off on the wrong foot when she rolled out of bed - quite literally - and managed to land on a pair of five-inch strappy heels that were as painful as they were beautiful, causing her to greet the morning with her very best curse-words. She had spent the next couple of hours at Quidditch training, which was grueling, because the captain was even more manic than she had been about Quidditch and was in the mindset that if somebody didn't cry by the end of training that it was a day wasted. Obviously Dominique wasn't the one crying - as if - but she was hobbling by the time training was over - plus, she'd exerted a decent amount of energy into despising Scorpius Malfoy, and trying to encourage Fred to do so as well. Anyways, she'd barely had time to shower and throw her stuff together for her night out with Chloe and Rose without being late. She nicked a couple of bottles of wine from the cupboard (she had it well stocked) and had bought some vodka the day before, just in case they needed something with more of a kick, and she had chucked a t-shirt that she'd turned into a crop top the previous week (in order to show off her fabulously flat tummy) and a pair of tiny shorts into her bag as well. All that was needed was eye-liner and a couple of bob, both of which she stuffed into her bra.
She'd never learned how to apparate, and so instead opted for flooing to Rose and Albus' apartment. Flooing wasn't a great deal of fun, either, but she dealt with it as best she could. Meaning she swore cheerfully about it when anyone would listen. Clutching her bag to her side, she chucked the Floo Powder down, cried the words, "Rose Weasley!" and then had to experience the shittest feeling in the world - probably. Finally, she arrived in Rose and Al's small living room, and tossed herself out of the fire-place, springing to her feet with ease. Shaking back her hair, she swept her gaze around the room, surmised that neither of them were about, and decided that they must be in Rose's room.
"I have arrived, ladies!" She cried, navigating her way through Rose's teensy little flat (alright, it was just about the same size as hers was, but Dom insisted hers was far edgier) and throwing the door open dramatically before sauntering into the room, throwing her hands out and waggling her fingers. "The party is here. I've got booze, I've got money, I've got an outfit that shows a terrifying amount of skin, and I've got the plan for the night: the goal is to make a hot boy cry or fall at our feet. I'm sure we're well capable[/i]." Smug, she chucked her bag to one side, fished her eye-liner and money out of her bra and threw them onto the floor too, and then clocked what Chloe and Rose were doing. "Ah, let me guess. The great Chloe Nott fashion show," Dom said, rolling her eyes expressively, before flopping onto the ground beside her stuff, crossing her legs. She gave a regal nod, and a wave of her hand. "Proceed."

Chloe swept through Rose's flat, intent on her destination: Rose's bedroom, which was the only room guaranteed to have a full-length mirror. It wasn't anything on the pretty much panoramic set she'd had installed in her own closet at the precious age of twelve, but it would do for now. "Thank God," she announced over her shoulder, "I mean, I love your cousin, he's great. But boys are so generally ghastly at letting girls get ready the way we like it." There were definite up-sides to being at Rose's to get ready, not just lack of boys, and probably top of the list was absolutely no parents of any sort to hover by the front door and send her back upstairs to change if she put on something a little too revealing. Something like what Dominique was wearing, actually, thought Chloe as her other friend arrived in the bedroom.
"Dom," she greeted with heartfelt delight, but since she was already occupied with hanging her various dresses up off every available ledge she couldn't figure out how to spare the arms to hug her. Later, she promised herself firmly, and hooked the last hanger off the back of the mirror.
Turning back now to her two best friends, she tilted her head to critically examine what they were wearing. If Chloe was going to be seen in public with them, they were going to be groomed to perfection. "Dom," she said now, with heartfelt truth and wistfulness, "You look so sexy." Chloe never understood how other girls did it. Here was Dom looking like a heartbreaker and she herself couldn't look hot if she tried for weeks. She always had to settle for "chic" or "neat", since sexy was so far beyond her it was almost a joke. Nevertheless, tonight she was going to try.
"Alright, Rose," she announced now, clapping her hands in joy, "I've brought you some dresses! I know you have some, but what are friends for but sharing, right? You don't have to wear them. Although you'll look really nice in all of them, I promise. I picked them out specially." Whipping around, Chloe plucked four dresses from various hangers and bounded across the room to lay them reverently across Rose's lap. She'd bought them pretty much because she thought they'd look fabulous on Rose, but would definitely be taking them out for a spin at some point. Then, pulling out her wand, she cast the only non-verbal spell she'd ever learned to do, and beamed as one of the dresses appeared on her body. Her former clothes crumpled themselves unceremoniously into a corner.
"What do you think?!" she demanded now, turning back and forth. The dress was really far too modest for a night out, long sleeves and floaty skirt and all, but it looked so pretty. She had one very sexy dress at the very back of her selection, halfway hidden because she was pretty sure she would never find the guts to wear it. She had seen some girl Seb was carting along in something similar and bought it on the assumption that it was the sort of thing boys clearly liked, but it had no back at all, a plunging front, and a very short very tight skirt. But with Dom looking so toned and Rose being so slim and leggy and pretty, Chloe was pretty sure she'd feel like an elephant if she ever found the courage to get it on in the first place.

meep, sorry! xxx -----------------------
Rose, having heard Dom's less-than-tidy arrival had already got up to go and find her cousin as Dom flung open the bedroom door. Flopping back down on to the bed and curling her feet back underneath her once more, she had the perfect position to eye Dominique with admiration from. For someone who attempted to spend a lot of her life looking fierce, Dom really, really was pretty (although Rose knew that was unsurprising really, given her genes). "You look fab, Dom," Rose concurred with Chloe, tactfully omitting from the end of her sentence the fact that she didn't really want to make anybody cry, hot boy or not.
Looking back towards Chloe, Rose couldn't help but smile. She really had to be the sweetest human being in existence. She schooled her face into something approaching serious appreciation as dress after dress appeared in her hands. Chloe was right, they really were beyond beautiful. "I believe you," she reassured Chloe hastily, separating them out on to her bed to look at them more closely. She was just feeling some simply gorgeous beading along the neckline of one of the dresses Chloe had proffered her, when the girl in question demanded attention. "Oh, Chlo," she breathed, "You look lovely." Chloe always looked beautiful in a way that Rose could never quite manage. Rose had also never understood Chloe's non-verbal abilities when it came to clothes-related spells: it made Rose herself feel completely inept.

"Sexy?" Dominique repeated, half utter disbelief, half indignation. Controlling herself, she tossed her hair and said loftily, "Well, that is my job. Resident Weasley Sex-Bomb, after all." It was better than being called cute, after all; Dominique positively loathed her petite stature and her big brown eyes - Merlin, it sounded so twee. Still, even though she'd admit that she was sort of built like a doll (with much disgust) she thought that she hadn't done very well in terms of looks. All right, so she wasn't ugly, but her older sister and the vast majority of her cousins were a lot prettier. Dominique just showed a lot more skin and her seduction technique was a lot more forthright. And also terrifying.
Dominique jumped to her feet and bounded over to the bed, where Chloe had laid out the dresses for Rose. Dominique wasn't much of a dress person, unless it was very, very short, and very, very tight, but she had to admire Chloe's impeccable taste. "Bet you wish Mister Musician could see you in one of these," Dom winked at her cousin, poking her rib with her sharp elbow. "Although I bet he'd probably prefer to see you with one of these off," she added, half to herself, as she turned to take a look at Chloe.
"Give us another twirl!" Dom cheered, letting loose a low whistle. Jutting one hip out, she propped her hand on it, and then, smile disappearing, she swept her gaze critically over Chloe. "Not really right for a night out, though, is it? I mean..." Dom struck a pose, indicating her own outfit with glee. "It's a bit virginal. Not," she said, loping towards Chloe and flinging her arm over the blonde's shoulder, "That there's anything wrong with virgins. Virgins are the coolest," she threw a triumphant look at Rose, the only non-virgin in the room.

Sorry this is late!! I didn't realise you guys had replied whoopsie
"Very sexy," Chloe told Dom firmly, unable to resist a broad grin. Dom never reacted the way she'd have thought - being told she was sexy would have made Chloe's whole day. Dom, naturally, just had to be opposite to that. It was one of the reasons Chloe loved her so much. Everything was a surprise and an adventure.
Flushing with pride now at Rose's compliment, Chloe obeyed Dom with a broad smile and twizzled round once more with a flourish, adding a theatrical arm flick like a ballerina. It was a nice dress, and now she had the reassurances of both her friends she felt much more confident in it. Just as she was starting to mentally pick through the shoes she'd brought with her to match up, Dom's words filtered through her fashion-absorbed brain, and she blushed red like a tomato. Oh, god. She didn't want to wear it if it screamed virgin. She was so not up for people knowing that. She'd had a boyfriend for a whole year, people would laugh at her if they knew she was still completely un-sexed up. Lost in this little world of horrified contemplation, she felt her shoulders sag under the weight of Dom's arm, and perked up immeasurably at her next words. If someone like Dom was still a virgin, then it was alright, right?
"Still," she countered Dominique thoughtfully, absently reaching her free arm behind her to clutch at another dress without looking at it, "It must be nice to not have to worry about when it's going to happen. Right, Rose? You've got darling Seth and it's, like, it's not a big pressure now. To be fair," she added, tilting her head sideways to address this last part mostly to Dom, "I think if I had a Seth I'd have definitely wanted to have sex with him by now. Wouldn't you?"
Pulling the other dresses out in front of her to examine, Chloe discovered she'd managed to grab the teeny tiny one. Gold and sparkly and tight, it would hands-down be the most revealing outfit she'd ever worn if she found the gall to put it on. Get a grip, she told herself sternly, You are a Gryffindor. So, mental pep-talk giving her courage, she tentatively held the tiny dress up, and inquired of Rose and Dominique, "I have this one?"
