okay so i currently have three accepted darlings (brigid finnigan, nikolai hartley and albus potter) and wo characters i am bringing back (cassie lewis and kieran bass) so i think we can have things to chatter about!!

--- okay, i am fairly sure that their only actual links are gryffindor, the fact he teaches her siblings (he may have taught her actually??? she's twenty-two, idk when he started - she's two years older than grace etc) and that they both love rupert to pieces and both in a more familial way than anything (though obv she isn't actually family), but i don't care, i just had to put their names tgether because their playbys are both gorgeous and that is all. if he did teach her, man, she was a bit of a handful. so competitive that she pulled up her shirt to flash her bra in a quidditch match on her broom just to distract the opposing chaser from scoring for long enough for the gryffindor seeker to catch the snitch and let them win with a large enough score difference to win the championship. little competitive brigid finnigan, that ruckus causer.

--- i wrote in nik's app that he sent jack a thank you card when he graduated, if that's cool? basically, nik was a shocking student, like, the only reason he got into newt level dada was because cassie and rose etc are damn good at kicking his ass into gear nd seeing as there was just a point in sixth/seventh year where he could not give any less of a fuck, i imagine he was on a very probationary sort of placing, like, jack was probably quite concerned -- do you reckon he could have checked with nik if he needed any help or anything? -- and then there is also nik's general behaviour like he is a very cheerful and easy-going bloke, but he generally likes amusement and doing things he enjoys aka not potions, so i also wrote that he'd gotten to see "hew-dog" a lot because of frequent detentions and being sent to head of house. is that cool??? nik really needed to apply himself; he wasn't stupid, he just had a lot of trouble focusing.

--- i had dada as one of albus' best subjects, and i imagine he was very close to top of the class in this subject, if not the top? poor boy has a hard life, being in the same year as rose and roxanne, brainy munchies that they are, but he did splendidly in his owls and newts and he's really very proud of them! he had quite the passion for dada, so yeah, he liked professor hewer a lot, i believe! sorry, this wasn't much use, i just like typing on my new laptop. ;]

--- legit nothing except that he and rupert are the bestest of buds as in they are a cute foursome and kieran has the ultimate respect for jack because rupert is his bro but jake is also his bro and he always has jake's back and this isn't an issue yet because kieran doesn't even know about lissie let alone jack but yeah, ultimate respect for hewster.

I think they'd have overlapped by a couple of years maybe? Jack probably arrived to teach when Brigid was in her fifth or sixth year maybe. Oh man Jack would definitely remember her - like, that was such a cheeky move, but he's always been a sucker for a bit of daring strategy, and they did win, so. I expect he'll come and watch her matches when he can to cheer her on! He wasn't her head of house while she was there, but he'll still be saying loudly, "That's my student right there" to everybody until they're sick of him.

That's awesome! That whole group drove Jack to distraction because he loved that they were so tight-knit and loyal but damn getting most of them to pay attention in class was a fucking struggle. He'd have definitely laughed aloud if he got a thank you card (in a fond way not a mean way!) and I imagine liked Nik enormously, although he'll have pretended to be very exasperated the whole time because all this trouble he has to get Nik out of, and even then he's still stuck with him in detention loads. He'd definitely have made sure Nik had nothing serious going on like at home or something, but once he figured out Nik was just bombing out because he wasn't applying himself, he'd have got a lot more serious with him because like he just wants his kids to do the best they can possibly do and it breaks his heart when they don't achieve what he knows they're capable of

If Albus liked his subject Jack liked him, end of. To be honest he was probably just relieved Albus applied himself more than his brother did, because he was freaking out about how he was going to handle teaching DADA to Harry Potter's kids, but then he met James and realised that the struggle was going to be getting him to focus, not saying something stupid, and by the time Albus arrived he'd lost that fear completely. So yes Jack likes Albus and would remember him fondly if asked! New laptop omg nice

Jack gets really muddled with Rupert's friends and tries to avoid them on the most part tbh, because he probably taught most of them and he doesn't want to cramp Rupert's style by being the uncool big brother who used to be their professor! But if he ever bumped into Kieran he'd be like "hey man how's life" and be genuinely interested but also keen to get away in case he says something embarrassing and annoys Rupert later on!!

Jack isn't quite sure why but he misses that gaggle of Gryffindor girls so much now. Hogwarts seems so quiet without them nattering non-stop. And Cassie along with the rest of them, definitely, perhaps more than some since she tried in his class and was Gryffindor seeker! He'd be thrilled to receive a letter or something but doesn't expect much, since he remembers how distracted those girls were liable to be!!

No, Chloe and Moira don't really run in the same circle! I think the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor girls in that year are quite separate, since they're two such tight-knit groups? I mean there's overlap obviously and they get along but yeah hardly besties.

YES OH MY GOD I loved that plot! It was super cute omg. They should bump into each other sometime and catch up because Chloe misses all her Gryffindor friends like mad. I mean, she sees most of them super regularly, but she still misses them like hell.

Chloe is in equal parts terrified and enamoured of Albus basically. I mean, he's one of Seb's friends, and therefore Chloe likes him on principle because with her if her brother likes you then she likes you. With guys, I mean, girls is a 50/50 chance. Most of the girls Seb tends to like are annoying or scary. But then Albus is also Rose's cousin and always nice to her and he has such a nice face and I feel like maybe they're the kind of people that have moved in the same social circle forever but never really gotten to know each other? Which could be adorable if they made friends now, actually, since Chloe will be at Rose's a lot? I don't know if Albus will find Chloe really really annoying, but she thinks he's just super cool and chill and yeah basically she's really intimidated which is dumb she's dumb omg I'm sorry

Yeah I doubt they'd know each other? I mean like they might very vaguely since like you said they have some connections, and she dated one of his housemates (in the year below though) for like a year, so she probably saw him around the Ravenclaw common room and stuff. Maybe and only vaguely? Ly's a pretty intense personality I guess, and I think he's an acquired taste on the most part. But I think the Scamander and Potter kids probably knew each other when they were younger, so they'd be old acquaintances? I'm not sure they'd class as close friends - or necessarily friends at all - but they'd know each other to say hi to and might stop to get a drink and catch up or something.
MOLLY AND NIKOLAI
He runs in the same circle as a bunch of her cousins so you can be sure Molly's made a move on him at some point - whether he's succumbed or not is up to you!

Oh my FUCKING GOD Daniel Sharman Molly will have climbed that like a tree. I'm serious. Probably repeatedly. Molly lost her virginity in third year and started sleeping around after that, and she'd have definitely zeroed in on Kieran with such a great face. It's really up to you whether it was a one-time thing or they had like a kind of benefits relationship? Not necessarily friends-with-benefits because I think they're pretty far apart socially, but like if that was on offer more than once Molly would have leapt at it

Weeeeeeeeell, I've told you this before but just ftr, I completely and utterly adore Xander like he is hands down one of my favourite characters and thus I am utterly convinced that bringing him back is no less than a perfect decision but I understand commitments and loads of characters and whatnot so! If it makes you feel better, though, I've brought back/am bringing back four characters, made Al on top of them and also have my eye on a Slytherin spot in the sixth year girls dorm, which would bump me up to six from essentially the start of the RP! xP (and also i like matching sometimes and having three girls to match the three guys would be very settling for my mind) |

BROOKEJACK AND RUPERTJack honestly doesn't hold anything against his brothers - he sees himself as the responsible one kind of because he's the oldest? So he feels like it falls to him to make sure they're all okay, and he would never be cross with Rupert for bailing, he'd just be worried about him. Bless Rupert though what a cutie. Jack's totally going to pretend he was really badass and great at dragon training and he was for sure alright at it but he just didn't enjoy it haha. He'll be so chuffed that Rupert decided to do it too though and he'll talk up all his experiences at every opportunity. Let's do one oh my god! Or even like a morning after thread so Lissie can be there if Hanna wants her to and all of them are hungover and bickering and it would be amazing JACK AND KARINAOh she sounds like such an angel! I would adore if she wrote to him - as would Jack - because I'm just desperate to thread him with some of his students, since they're such a major component of his life and personality. So if she owls him about anything he'll write straight back and offer to meet for coffee or something to talk about it face to face, or they can wait until school starts up again. Vera will write to her sometime along the lines of GIRL IT'S BEEN AGES BUT HECK YOU NEED TO SEE THESE CLOTHES COME NOW ASAP also Jack has nothing to worry about. Rupert treats his siblings like close friends and everytime Lissie is around he's like that's my sister she's precious treat her so. If his friends met any of his brothers, he'd be the same. LILY&LY: well lily knows lorcan p well through the family connection, and they get on well. would lysander and lily also get on okay? i feel like they would. i know ly is awkward around people, but if he's known lily a long time... i mean, she's quiet and bookish and also nervous of people, and would never in a million years try to flirt with him... EMILY&LY: i know lorcan was into comc, is lysander as well? (i lose track of different characterisations lol) i feel like emily would know who rolf and luna were, maybe even have some professional contact with them, so she'd have been interested to have their kids in her classroom. SCORPIUS&LY: they were the same year and idk if roxie and lysander are friends? but i doubt that scorpius would take much (or any) notice of him, lol scorp is such a dick LOUIS&LILY&MOLLY: i feel like these three have very similar attitudes towards family, so i'm just lumping them all together and saying they love each other to bits?
