(( OOC - I talked to Ellie who said go ahead and start it - I hope it's okay for everyone! Rose Weasley Dominique Weasley Cassie Lewis ELLIE come along and join!)) Ostensibly, the night was planned to be a civilised evening with food and perhaps a few drinks at the Leaky Cauldron. That, at least, was what they'd invited Jack Hewer to, figuring that he was more likely to accept that invitation than one to get smashed in a club with his ex-students. And he had indeed accepted, confirming the girls' opinion that they were, of course, his favourite set of students ever. After all, they were, as Ricky had pointed out, a pretty amazing bunch, not to mention hot as hell. Secretly, of course, the plan was to get Professor Hewer as drunk as possible, something they had joked about for ages. Now that they had finished school, he had no reason (well, no good reason) not to come out drinking with them, and a Gryffindor reunion seemed like a perfectly innocent pretext. They might even, Ricky had suggested optimistically to Chloe, manage to realise Chloe's long term ambition of getting Hewer's shirt off him - if they got him drunk enough. Ricky, of course, had not actually finished her NEWTs with the others, and for the past two years had not technically been part of their year at all. But she too had finished with school, and would certainly have been very offended if they had had this gathering without her. As it was, she arrived at the pub first, although this didn't bother her in the least. Neither did it bother her that she was marginally overdressed for a quiet evening in the Leaky, in heels and a short, figure-hugging dress - she did not, after all, intend to finish the evening in the Leaky Cauldron. Ricky had been working in a nightclub since the end of term, and had managed to procure a bunch of free VIP passes for the evening, which where tucked into her bag - hopefully they would be able to persuade Hewer to join them once he'd had a few drinks, but even if he wouldn't, she could still try and drag the girls along. Making her way confidently to the bar, she ordered a drink to be going on with, and flirted casually with the barman as he got it for her - he was at least forty, but quite good-looking, and Ricky felt that it was good to stay in practise.

This was the second time today that Chloe had been to Diagon Alley - she'd spent about three hours trying to find the perfect present for Seb for their birthday, but had to her frustration not succeeded. Still a little peeved by this, the prospect of the upcoming evening was cheering her greatly. Her chance to finally get Professor Hewer's shirt off him was within arms' reach, so close she could almost taste it. Of course, he was nowhere near aware that that was what the evening held in store for him, but the surprise would make it all the sweeter.
Arriving at the Leaky Cauldron a little ahead of most of the rest of her friends, Chloe tugged her skirt down a trifle nervously as she pushed her way in through the door. She'd put a lot of thought into her outfit for tonight, aware that such a historic event would needed a superb outfit to go with it. Into her clothing plans she'd incorporated her wish to appear much tougher than she usually did, since she did want to convince her favourite teacher that she was so totally a big strong grown-up ready to take on the world. To that end she had teamed her pretty (albeit very short) floaty green dress with a pair of wickedly high spiked heels, and tucked a spiked hairband into her perfectly sleek curls. No matter what look she was going for, nobody could fault her grooming. Whether she achieved a tough look was up for debate, but until she opened her mouth at least she'd probably pass for more hardcore than she usually was.
Casting her eyes around the dimly lit pub, Chloe soon spotted Ricky over at the bar, and made a silent bet with herself that her friend was flirting with the barman. Arriving behind her, she grinned as she heard the conversation and proved herself correct.
"Hey," she said the moment there was a break in conversation, not wanting to butt in rudely, "I'm here!" Her grin hadn't diminished at all - now that there were two of them here the evening seemed really in progress, and her excitement was bubbling up. "Are we the first ones?"

Ricky spun round as soon as she heard her friend's voice behind her, her face lighting up in a broad smile. "Chloe! Hey, beautiful!" She stepped up to Chloe and grabbed her into a tight hug, planting a loud kiss on her cheek. "It has been way too long!" she announced dramatically as she stepped back and surveyed Chloe. This was a slight exaggeration, since it wasn't actually that long since she'd seen the other girl, but a few weeks seemed like a long time, when she was used to seeing Chloe almost every day at school. "Yup, just us so far. Sexy outfit," she added approvingly, nodding at her friend, then looked back across the bar. "What are you drinking? This is my friend," she called to the barman she'd been chatting to, gesturing at Chloe. "She's single too. I'd offer you a threeway after your shift, but we're on a mission tonight!" Ignoring the man's bemused stare, she turned back to Chloe. "The others shouldn't be too long. And Hewer said he was coming, so he'd better show! I'm planning on getting him doing shots..." (( OOC - thought I might as well keep posting until someone else did ))

Dominique had very seriously considered just showing up to the bar in a pair of jeans and a ratty hoodie because, hello, it was Professor Hewer, and he'd already seen her at her absolute worst. Too often had she slumped into the Great Hall for breakfast with her make-up from the previous night melted down her face and her hair stuck up at all sorts of odd angles for her to salvage any dignity around the Gryffindor Head of House. However, tonight was sure to be legendary, and she knew that all of the others would probably look smoking, and she couldn't disappoint.
And so she clattered into the Leaky Cauldron on her absolutely highest pair of heels, slim body shown off to perfection in a pair of tight-fitting black leather leggings and a top that ended just over her midriff. In fairness, she had on a slightly tatty jacket over this top, because she didn't want Hewer to go thinking he was special, or anything. Didn't want him thinking they were all dressing up for him. Please. (She wouldn't admit it to a soul, but she rather missed Jack Hewer. This, however, only prompted her to make sure he wouldn't forget about her. Not that anyone ever could, but still.)
She expected her friends to be at the bar, and there they were. Two of them, at the very least. She hadn't seen Ricky at all that day, despite the fact that they lived together, because she'd been at training and then had gone home for a while to visit her dad. She'd also nicked a few of Louis' t-shirts because she was running out of clean clothes and hid a couple of his possessions in various places around the house. Just to irritate him. And she hadn't seen Chloe in a little while, either, which was rather sad, as she counted Chloe as one of her closest friends. Predictably, they were both dressed to the nines, Ricky in a bum-freezing dress and Chloe herself even managing to show off rather a lot of leg. Impressive.
She clattered over to them, throwing an arm around each of them fiercely, her own manner of announcing her presence, and grinned, saying loudly, "What's up, ladies? Ready to make this the best night of our dear Hewer's life? Or the worst," she tacked on, with a shrug. "I'm open to anything. Frankly, if he's not absolutely hammered and singing dodgy songs about Ogo the Hero by the end of the night, I'll be appalled at our poor form."

Chloe returned Ricky's hug tightly - golly, she missed her friends - and then spun to face the bar as Ricky addressed the barman. Grinning broadly, she dropped a wink at the confused looking man, emboldened as ever by Ricky's confidence. "I'll just have whatever you're having, please," she replied to her friend, turning as she did to face her properly and propping an elbow up on the bar.
"God, let's do it. I really think this is the night, Rick. We may finally divest him of his shirt. Can you imagine," she finished breathlessly, eyes shining. "My years-long goal finally realised."
Her drink arrived in front of her just as Dominique arrived dramatically, and she laughed and clutched back, smelling Dom's perfume with approval.
"You look gorgeous," she told her, having to disentangle herself in order to pick up her drink and take a hearty gulp - she always drank far too fast more for the sake of keeping her mouth busy than anything else, and was sure to be pleasantly tipsy within the next forty minutes, "And oh, are we ready. We were born ready. We're going to get his shirt off if we have to die to do it," she added firmly, only half-joking. Her goal was within reach. Chloe was not going to be deterred by anything. ______________________
just to say i think i'll wait for all the girls to arrive before i bring jack! then they can pounce on him en masse and he'll be too bemused to resist haha

Rose had made it very clear that she was attending under protest at best. It wasn't that she had anything against Professor Hewer - on the contrary, she thought he was great, and Transfiguration had always been her absolute favourite subject - but she definitely felt it was very, very strange to be going out on the town with your teacher. As a result, she was rather less fancily dressed than her best friends in a pair of jeans and a pretty top. Admittedly, they were very nice jeans and she had conceded her point enough to wear a pair of heels (she lived in fear far too much of Chloe and Dominique to not try to at least look a little bit nice), but there was significantly less leg on display in comparison.
Pushing open the door to the Leaky Cauldron, Rose immediately spotted Chloe, Dom and Ricky by the door, and weaved her way over. Plonking her bag on the bar, she grinned at the barman and ordered a drink before turning to face her friends. "Gosh," she said by way of greeting, suddenly slightly wishing she'd put a dress on after all, "I'd forgotten how terrifyingly gorgeous you lot look dressed up." She stretched an arm around Dom and Ricky in a quick hug - the two closest - and blew a kiss in Chloe's direction. "How've you all been? Or have you already done that bit, and I missed it?"

Post by Cassie Lewis on Mar 9, 2014 19:09:21 GMT -5
Ever since the girls had come up with the stellar idea to get Professor Hewer completely smashed, Cassie had been so excited that she could hardly breathe; well, when she was thinking about it, anyhow. When the day had arrived, she could barely contain her excitement - once she'd glanced at the time and noticed they were meeting within the hour, she'd let out a shriek so gleeful, loud and apparently unprecedented that she had a sneaking suspicion her younger brother had actually toppled off the sofa where he was perched. Cassie had been too wrapped up in her own excitement to do much about it, though she had managed to fling a fluffy pillow at him as she whizzed past, shouting that if he hugged it, happiness would soon course through his veins.
Ignoring his undoubtedly sarcastic response, Cassie had burst into her room and rocketed around, grabbing clothes from various locations and quickly applying some make-up before popping off to the Leaky. Arriving at the Leaky just after Rose made her way in, Cassie caught the door and rushed in right after the gorgeous redhead, beaming at all of her friends. Dressed in a strapless shocking red number - house spirit, she had insisted to her brother upon leaving the house - with a fitted black leather jacket on top, she felt pretty fierce. Indeed, while her spiky red heels were the major difference between her current wear and every day life, she was presenting a generally more hardcore Cassie than she would normally.
Seeing as Rose was currently in possession of Dom and Ricky, Cassie made some swift and impressive ducks and turns to end up beside Chloe, whom she promptly threw her arms around in an excited hug. "You look stunning," she enthused to Chloe upon breaking away, before glancing at all of her friends and letting out a low wolf whistle. "Fuck me, everybody looks foxy tonight," she proclaimed, before glancing down dubiously at her shoes. While she wasn't the only one in heels - Chloe's were utterly wicked and the height of Dominique's heels had always been a point of disbelief for Cassie - she was the most inclined of all of them towards clumsiness, and was hoping desperately that she would be fine. After a night out with Nik a week or so ago, where she'd somehow ended up drunkenly racing Albus Potter through a fountain, she was somewhat more confident than she would have been a month ago, but she was still harbouring concerns, and resolved to get as drunk as possible, under the potentially misguided impression that her sobriety hindered her co-ordinational skills.
With that in mind, she leaned behind Chloe to the barman and ordered a drink, before turning back to her girls. Beaming at Rose - who looked fantastic, as usual, despite her slightly more tame wardrobe choice; Cassie was of the opinion that Rose was one of those girls who could wear a rubbish bag and still look both beautiful and impossibly sexy - she chimed in, "well, if they did, I missed it too and I'm dead keen to hear all about your lives!"
The most exciting things Cassie had done - except for that night out with Nik, that is - was cause her younger brother to fall over due to the shocking qualities of her excited squeals and write letters to Lorcan. Living vicariously via Lorcan, while always fascinating, wasn't exactly the least pathetic of lifestyle choices. However, that was all going to change tonight - once Professor Hewer arrived, she was sure they were all going to have an absolute blast.

ooc. not sure of the posting order so i'm just going to go for it? ___________________
"Shouldn't be too difficult to get his shirt off," Dominique agreed ruthlessly, rubbing her palms together, for one minute looking like quite the evil plotter. Frankly, she had mischief written all over her face, but she'd cover it up for the first few minutes when Hewer appeared, lull him into a false sense of security. She had a game plan, and she was going to stick to it. She hadn't been Quidditch Captain for nothing, after all. She gave Chloe a final squeeze before detaching herself from her mate, and leaning over the bar, calling, "Firewhiskey. Pronto!"
She had barely straightened up again, swinging her hair back, when Rose appeared, squeezing into their group. She aimed an air-kiss in the general direction of her cousin's face, saying blithely, "Well, let no one ever forget again how terrifying we are," she announced, nodding at the barman as he returned with her Firewhiskey and getting stuck into it almost immediately. Cassie followed soon after Rose, and Dom looked about in approval at the Gryffindor Girls. Despite the fact that they'd graduated, she felt they were still a tight-knit group, and they had a legacy, and reputations to uphold. "I had training, being the sexiest Puddlemere Reserve on the planet," she announced, wagging her hand over her head in order to secure the girls' attention. "Not that there's much competition. Fred and Scorpius Malfoy? Hmmph," she snorted, busied herself with her drink (refusing to allow herself to wince, because serious drinkers didn't wince), and then continued, "And then, you know, went home to my dad, who's getting more ancient by the second, and proceeded in trying to make Louis' life even more hellish than usual. Not my best effort," she admitted, "But I was tired after training. Cut a girl some slack."
She gave a quick headcount, and then added, "I think we're all present, aren't we? Well then, girlies," she straightened up bossily, raising her drink, "Grab a drink, and remember our priorities: get Jack Hewer smashed, make sure he knows he'll never quite be rid of us, and - " she gestured towards Chloe, "Get his shirt. I think Chloe's leading that particular mission. I just want to scare and appall him," she confessed, a smug little smile playing on her lips.

It was fortunate indeed that Jack arrived later than the girls he was meeting, for if he'd heard the last sentence to leave Dominique Weasley's mouth he'd have turned around, gone home, and then told them he was sick. It wasn't that he was scared - actually, scratch that, he was. He'd known these girls for seven solid years, watched them all grow up and develop from charming and innocent-looking (if not actually innocent) children to no less charming but much more terrifying young women. Jack loved each and every one of the girls like - well, not exactly kids of his own, but almost. He would probably never admit it, but they were his favourite group of students to have thus far passed through Gryffindor. Their temerity, their boundless good humour and their ferocious loyalty to one another was frankly inspiring. The other thing about that was impressive, however, was their capacity for causing trouble, and Jack would have learned very little indeed if he had not learned to be wary when these girls started plotting.
It was, therefore, with a great deal of anticipation that Jack had prepared to head out to dinner with them. He'd been astonished and incredibly touched by the invitation, and was looking forward a great deal to getting some good food and catching up on what they were all doing with their lives, and where they were planning to go from here. He knew their various occupations, of course - Dominique playing Quidditch professionally, Cassie in the Ministry, Rose in magical research, Ricky at a nightclub, Chloe.... probably doing absolutely nothing except reading gossip magazines realistically. Jack blew out a big sigh at the thought. He wasn't exactly surprised that Chloe had no ambition to get into the world of menial work, but still rather wished she'd find something to do with herself.
Shaking himself out of the thought, Jack apparated to the Leaky Cauldron and pushed his way in through the door. The place was busy, but his height ensured he spotted the gaggle of girls at the bar very quickly. They always had been hard to miss, even in the most crowded room. Something about their total lack of self-consciousness, probably, and their general volume. Shouldering through other people, Jack soon clocked that only Rose was not dressed to the nines. Tiny skirts, lots of bare leg and ridiculously high shoes seemed to be the dress code, and Jack's inner schoolteacher went nuts. Telling himself to get a grip - these girls were no longer students, after all, by some miracle they were now functioning adults and outside of his responsibility - he slipped past the final large couple in his way and arrived in front of the girls.
"Hello, girls," he said loudly, to be heard over their chatter, "Did you forget to clue me in on the memo about dressing up?" He'd dressed for a casual dinner, naturally, and so had turned up in just a shirt and trousers - which were at least a little smarter than jeans. Now, however, he felt distinctly underdressed, and also had the faintest stirring suspicion that maybe they'd secretly plotted something other than a casual dinner.
Despite his misgivings, he was genuinely thrilled to see them all - they all looked so happy and lively, which was a treat - and offset his rather sarcastic entry with a broad grin.

Having welcomed all her friends with loudly yelled greetings, Ricky looked round at the assembled group. "Well, personally, I think we're the hottest crowd this place has ever seen," she announced happily. "I'd do us all, several times a night, no question. And Hewer. I'd do him too, but he's way too moral for me to have a chance." She shook her head disapprovingly at Professor Hewer's morality, then brightened again. "But I definitely think we have a chance to make history with the shirt thing tonight. I hope someone brought a camera." The guest of honour turned up at this point, and Ricky immediately turned her full attention on him. All joking aside, he had been a great Head of House and she was very fond of him, even if he had tried to persuade her to stay on at school (and yes, she would genuinely sleep with him if she ever got the chance, but as she did not remotely expect ever to be given the chance, that wasn't really her priority). They had maybe not been completely and totally honest about what sort of night they were inviting him to, but he would, Ricky trusted, get over that. "Professor!" She greeted him delightedly, giving him a wide beam and immediately going in for a hug. Ricky's physical displays of affection didn't really know boundaries, though she did keep it quite a lot more restrained than she might have if it had been one of her friends. "Never mind," she went on consolingly, patting his arm as she released him again. "You look very handsome the way you are. Though you can borrow my heels if you're feeling underdressed?" (( OOC - This is what Ricky's wearing btw - I was having nostalgic times on polyvore... Also, Ellie, I apologise for Ricky, she can't help it, though this is actually restrained for her. ))
