[Lara Archer]

KITTY!

Okay so I've tried to think of all possible relationships our characters might have, and although I'm not coming up with any major potential plots (these are all mostly just sort of minor friend-y ones!) I'm going to keep working on it and if I do think of anything I'll PM you!

JADE AND LARA

Okay with this one it's completely fine if you don't think Jade would pay Lara any attention at all, but Lara and Will are starting to make up right this second, and once they've sort of recalibrated their relationship, Lara is going to be spending a lot of time with Will, and therefore probably at Jade and Neil's flat with him a fair bit? You said she's pretty chatty which would be so perfect for Lara, who is whatever the total opposite of chatty is. Lara has only one female role model in her life (her mother) who she adores, but having very little experience with women of Jade's age, she's going to be really fascinated by her and as she's trying to learn to be less reticent and self-contained probably attempt to copy some of the things she does because she'll see her as someone really lovely and friendly. Like I said, if you don't think Jade would like/be that interested in Lara, it's totally and completely fine! However I think they could maybe end up having a really sweet relationship, kind of big/little sister-ish? Lara will be a lot more open to Jade than she would be to most other people, since Jade has been so kind to Will.

JADE AND MOLLY

I'm just throwing this one out there because I'm not at all sure how Jade would feel about Molly, but since Molly and Teddy right now are firmly on a friendship kick and refusing to acknowledge anything further, she's going to be interfering in his life and trying to get him a bit more cheerful, and I was just thinking potentially if you're amenable she could maybe come and test the waters with Jade and see if she'd be interested in trying to be friends with Teddy? Or at least just trying to give everything a sort through so Jade can master her fear and Teddy can stop beating himself up about how he treated her, because I think they can acknowledge all round it was pretty (terribly) bad, haha. (Molly's basically just out to fix everybody she comes across - now her parents' marriage has totally fallen apart she's refusing to address it and just projecting her despair over it onto everyone around her). So yes if you don't think Jade would want this, or you don't want it, then that's completely fine and understandable! It might be fun if Jade totally hated Molly's guts, actually. I would if I was Jade for sure. Molly deserves it.

Ly is the only one I can really think of that might know her, since I'm afraid I have nobody her age and no other Ravenclaws! They'd have been in the same house a year apart, although I'm not convinced they'd have overlapped much since Lysander is so fucking useless at social contact and Adé is pretty quiet. HOWEVER since she's a trainee Healer and Lysander has for certain put himself in St Mungo's on more than one occasion, they might meet that way? I was thinking actually, if you were at all interested in them being friends, Lysander could get himself put in hospital with some kind of injury that means he has to stay in bed for some time, and Adé could be the poor soul that gets stuck doing his check-ups and stuff? He'd be a nightmare since he can barely sit still for five minutes, let alone weeks, but perhaps they could just strike up a friendship since they'd be stuck around each other anyway! Usually Lysander would be super awkward and shy around her - and would be at first I have no doubt - but when he got bored enough he'd be pestering her like mad to bring him news of various things or sneak a pet in/him out early. Again, if you don't think Adé would like him, that's totally fine!

DHRUV AND MOLLY

Molly's the only one of my characters I can think of who might know Dhruv, since he's friends with a couple of her cousins, including Louis who Molly keeps a special eye on since they're housemates! I mean I'm not sure they'd be close or anything, but like they'd probably smile at each other in the street if they saw each other, and I imagine would casually flirt if they somehow ended up stuck talking at the same party, maybe if Louis did a birthday bash or something?

SIOBHAN AND LARA

Okay if I'm correct these two are dormmates? Lara's just going into fifth year too. Lara is... well, terrible at interacting with the girls she shares her dorm with, basically. She keeps completely to herself, probably just gives blank stares to any of them who try to include her in things, and if she's in the dorm it'll be sat on her with her curtains shut. BUT like I said above, she's hopefully reconnecting with her brother, and I think that will help her open up. She'd be far too insecure to make the first move towards getting to know Siobhan better since she'll assume she's totally put her off with her stand-offishness so far, but if Siobhan was willing to give Lara the benefit of the doubt, they might get along quite well? They're both experts at projecting a front, just in different ways!

MOLLY AND HUGO

I'd adore for these two to be close if you were willing! They're the same house and a couple of years apart, and Molly has always had a huge soft spot for her Hufflepuff cousins. She'd always be poking into his business and probably irritating him senseless, but hopefully he'd know it all came from a place of great love!

CHLOE AND HUGO

I'm not expecting that these two are super close or anything, haha, but Chloe is Rose's best friend so I can't imagine she and Hugo are oblivious to each other? Chloe would always be really friendly to Hugo and not be at all put off if he was shy or awkward around her - she probably wouldn't notice, to be honest, she'd just chatter at him until he ran away or she got distracted! She'd really like him though, for sure. Whether he likes her or not is completely up to you!

Also this is just a potential, but I think I'm making a new character who's going to be a sixth year Gryffindor, so potentially they could get partnered up in class sometime?

jade/lara: omg, jade would adore lara. she's a total mothering type and she knows a lot of the stuff that will's been going through, so if lara spends more time at their flat jade would definitely take a shine to her. we can thread them sometime and see how it goes if you like
jade/molly: i don't know what's going on with the victoires and who exactly is playing her, but if bay is taking her up again i need to talk to her about vic and jade.. so if they mended their relationship, jade would know about molly and teddy, but if not then she wouldn't. if she did though i actually doubt she would care that much anymore. she's p much resigned herself to the fact that she never meant much to teddy... so she's probably pretty ambivalent to molly. buuut yes if molly likes, she can come try and talk to jade! i myself am not sure how she'd react lol. but we'll see.
adé/lysander: aw, i love your ly <3 yeah, they could have this thing going on.. she'd get exasperated every time she sees him coming in again and be all 'oh you should be more careful', but i think she'd have grown quite fond of him.
molly/dhruv: yeah, casual/party friends is pretty much all they must have been... i don't really see them interacting much outside that, sorry :/
siobhan/lara: yeah, they'd be dormmates.. siobhan probably wonders why lara is always so quiet. but yes, she's battling her own insecurities and mayyybe the two of them can gradually open up to each other? siobhan's quite snarky but she doesn't really judge people, so if lara tried to talk to her she would definitely talk back.
molly/hugo: he loves her, period. he thinks she's absolutely adorable, and while she might freak him out a little with her lack of sense of personal space, she'd be one of the cousins he feels more comfortable with, partly because they shared a house.
chloe/hugo: if she was over at their house a lot, he'd know her and i think he'd like her too. not much beyond acquaintances, though, i don't think..

EDIT: oh and i am totally up for that! is your new character a girl or a guy? and what're they like?

Ahh perfect! Lara'll be pretty wary at first but she'll definitely like Jade, I don't think she'll be able to help herself. Do you mind terribly if I wait and see how the Will/Lara thread goes, and then we can do one? I just want to make sure I know where Lara stands with Will before she starts heading over to his place or anything, haha. Thank you though I think this will be a really cute little friendship!

I think Bay is taking her up again, so hopefully we'll have the old situation all back and sorted! Haha it might be fun to throw them together (once we know the Victoire situation ) just because I feel like they'll either get on, or just totally blow up at each other, ahaha

Eek thanks mostly I just think he's an idiot so thank you thank you ahaha. But yes omg that could be really cute actually, like any time he's in there when she's working he gives her a sheepish smile and shrugs like "whoops I know I promised I'm sorry" but he brings things to show her and stuff or something

Maybe Lara could ask about a homework assignment she missed, or if she was in the Hospital Wing with an illness she asks Siobhan to get her work for her? That would give them an excuse to talk a little bit!

Yeah I didn't mean like they were close friends or anything, just a kind of mutual "s/he's alright and we both love Rose so", and maybe they just have the odd chat if she's round his house and Rose doesn't happen to be in the room

Ah yay! She's going to be a girl, called Letha, and I'm not 100% fixed on her details yet but she's going to be pretty reckless and impulsive and hedonistic and also kind of manipulative - she likes pushing boundaries to see how far they can bend before they snap, and tends to get herself tangled up in a fair amount of trouble because of this... she's a big believer in "live for today" so she's all about immediate pleasures not long-term goals

oooh kitty, well i don't have anyone exactly the right age, but if there's any chance hecate and zanna could have come across each other, i think they could make quite fun friends? zanna is also all for brutal honesty and snark, but like hecate, is completely loyal once you have her respect. can hecate take it as well as deal it out? zanna is twenty two, so a couple of years younger, ex-slytherin, was a bit anti-social at school, but is more open to people now, and doesn't have the greatest opinion on the ministry. i don't think she'd carry that over to hecate though, bc it's not like hecate is the head of a department or anything, and a job is just a job. unless hecate is like super vocally loyal to the ministry or something, in which case zanna would do a lot of eye-rolling.

i will also have jethro (when i make him), who is a pureblood also working for the ministry. he's a few years older than her (i still need to work out exactly how old he is but i'm going to say around 26) so they could maybe know each other vaguely and run into each other at work some time?

i think that's it for characters who would know her. unless maybe scorpius, with the whole pureblood thing, but even if their families know each other, i doubt they'dd have much to do with each other, with a four year age gap?

teddy/hugo - well it shouldn't actually be a problem. it would surely add to the drama besides molly and teddy are trying to be platonic friends rn so if ELLIE and BECCA approve it shouldn't be bad

Ooooh, hmm, how about Kol+Lorcan? Lor's buddies with a few Slytherins in his year, and very friendly! He might know Kol pretty well. Also for Hecate - I will (at some point in the near future) be making a fellow of about 22-23 who's gonna be a Ministry employee, so he might know her? Just a heads up for near future business, lol. Alsoooo, did I already mention Siobhan and Felicity maybe being friends?

jethro is ex-gryffindor, yes, but he comes from a family of mixed houses, who have a history of being involved in the dark arts. and these days he hides behind a suave exterior and acts the perfect gentleman, but at school he went seriously out of control, was very angry and violent, and almost got expelled, so she might have known of his reputation?

aaaand for kol: he'd have been dorm mates with scorpius, and i kind of feel like maybe they wouldn't have got on too well when they were younger? scorpius was cynical, sarcastic and pretended not to have feelings, even at the age of eleven, and he judged people who wore their hearts on their sleeves. he didn't waste emotion hating people, and he wouldn't have got angry and fought with kol or anything, i think he might just have been a bit dismissive of him? i don't see them as sworn enemies, but probably not the best of friends either?

but then, scorpius is actually a lot more mature and less of a dick these days (though he still acts like one a bit, he has a reputation to keep up), which was kind of how he was the last couple of years at school. i feel like as they both grew up, they would actually have got to like each other more and might be reasonable friends these days? plus, although scorpius hides everything behind a mask, he has always liked to have a good time, and when he's with his mates, he's quite fun and outgoing...

i also have ricky, who was the same year and in nik's house, so they might have been quite good friends? ricky, as you know, flirts with everyone, so idk how kol would react lol...
