JACK/DAVID: oh gosh david probably didn't even notice it if jack was confused by something he said, he'd be so used to people giving him weird looks he wouldn't even know they were weird looks anymore! and he'd greatly appreciate the interest in gin and tonic and give jack a blow-by-blow account of whatever mess they'd landed themselves into that time. and every time he sees jack he probably demands how adults do the thing. that sounded like he'd be on about sex, but i mean the thing with the buying of the pasta and the doing of the laundry. david doesn't understand
JACK/DOMINIQUE: AHHH WE COULD HAVE THE GRYFFINDOR GIRLS TAKE JACK OUT FOR A PUB CRAWL OR SOMETHING MAYBE?? it wouldn't be a graduation one but it could be like a...i don't know, dom could come to the conclusion that jack probably thinks he's gotten rid of them for good and she'll be like "nope not happening" "let's get him fucked". oh my god wow she'd laugh so much if she saw jack wearing a t-shirt with her name on but she'd pretend to be all stroppy and roll her eyes but then she'd give him a surprise hug and pat him on the back and say something vaguely insulting but half nice like "you're a total loser but you're quite good fun".
JACK/DANNI: oh man danni would get so flustered like she'd be practically tearing her hair out and she despises messing up her hair and she'd just keep apologizing and getting alternately upset and irritated. extra lessons would probably be wonderful, she'd possibly do better in an environment where she wasn't surrounded by others - all of her confidence is faked, really, so she's actually quite self-conscious, so that probably takes away from her learning. it's a bit of a mental block, too - she thinks she's stupid and so she ends up over-complicating everything. in all honesty if she had a bit of calm she'd probably get an A no bother.
JACK/SEB&FAYE: well seb was usually a very hard worker because honestly he's such a geek he loves school and learning, i don't understand it at all. and faye probably wouldn't give a toss, i'm sorry jack! god she can be frustrating
CHLOE/SEB: basically they're my favourites? and yes yes we do need to get that party going! honestly party of the year, no doubt whatsoever
CHLOE/DOM: bless bless i do love these two together. i think dom probably admires chloe too because even though she can be a wee bit of a feather-head at times chloe's so funny and fab and dom thinks she's totally genuine and yeah.
CHLOE/DANNI: ahh fantastic! danni thinks chloe's a total babe and probably envies all of her gorgeous clothes and her big gorgeous house and her lovely hair and just everything. if she gets invited to the party (i'm sure she'll wangle a plus-one at the least, danni's good at that!) she'll probably be in awe for a good twenty minutes before snapping herself out of it.
CHLOE/WILL: i imagined so haha. he'd probably think she was weird, but funny, as well, if you get me? sort of the way a lot of people see david, i think! he'd give her a bit of a look and then just start laughing his head off and shaking his head.
CHLOE/DAVID: ahhh tHANK YOU THANK YOU he's a dumb dumb loser. and yes i'd love that!! david would probably just talk about his cats. they're one of his favourite topics. and then he may talk about how scary grocery shopping is. and ironing.
ahh yes i didn't think any of my boys would be particularly good for it, just wanted to give you the option in case!! we can of course thread david and chloe but like i didn't want there to be any pressure or whatever just so you knew
LARA/WILL: oh my god, oh my god, she's going to be like a wee cute baby duckling. oh my god this is too much for me i need to sit myself down. there are tears streaming i can't? and he'd probably love having her around and introduce her to everyone in his life!
LARA/FAYE: eeep sorry faye's so scary!! i think really she wouldn't hurt a fly but i can totally imagine her being scary for lara. but yeah if you ever do need a lara thread i'll give you faye and oh my god there will be practically no talking whatsoever it'll be beautiful
LARA/DAVID: dAVID WOULD LOSE HIS SHIT IF HE GOT A CAT DRAWING FROM LARA. he'd take such care of it and bring it home and just sit on the sofa all dazed and grinning and looking at it and if anyone tried to talk to him he'd just "no" "nO" "I AM HAVING A MOMENT KIERAN I DON'T CARE ABOUT NUTELLA" and then he'd frame it because he's a loser and if anyone came to visit he'd show it to them and then he'd draw a terrible picture of gin and tonic and rupert's dog and all of the wolfpack (kieran, jake and rupert) and find some way to send it back to her and she'd be his favourite patient ever and he'd sidle up to people at the hospital and be like "hey" "did you ever get a drawing from a patient" "well i did" it'd go straight to his head oh d e a r
LYSANDER/DOMINIQUE: ugh i love these two too?? like i think they'd be the last two you'd expect would work but they really, really do. she probably drags lysander off with her on the stupidest adventures and bullies him into coming to matches, too (or tries to) and if he pushed her over if she pretended to flirt with him she'd just cackle. and then throw out some inappropriate chat-up lines and be all "i'm training you!" and if he ever put a creature in her hand she'd try to throttle him she really would not appreciate that
LYSANDER/DANNI: danni would just be so grateful to have somebody who would get the dragon thing who isn't a lot older than her, haha! and lordy she'd probably grab him by the shoulders and just say "dragons" really intensely every now and then with a wild look in her eye and do a little happy dance all through their conversation about them. she wouldn't even try to hide it. she'd dance around the black lake. she's so wEIRD
LYSANDER/DAVID: david would probably look forward quite a bit to seeing lysander, haha, and he wouldn't be exasperated at all although he wouldn't appreciate his cats being seen as mundane! he thinks they're very cool indeed and he'll have that be known. he'd probably ask lysander all sorts of questions about the creatures and be super fascinated and take ages patching him up!
MOLLY/DOM: yeah, dom just doesn't know how to do sympathy, so she'd bring molly out to get mullered or to a quidditch party for lots of hot boys for molly, or she'd bring over a ton of movies or something and just chat away to her normally.
MOLLY/SEB: yES YES WINGMEN YES PLEASE. and yeah it's so weird like seb wouldn't even think about properly trying to charm molly again?? it'd just be a bunch of silly flirting and waggling his eyebrows and being a massive loser in general and laughing at everything she says
MOLLY/DANNI: ah, i'd love it if they could become friends! i'm trying to think of a situation but i'm pretty much blanking because i'm dumb but i'm sure we could cook something up if we have a proper think? it could be something as simple as them running into each other in a shop. danni would probably be having another crisis over whether or not she likes a dress and come out of the changing room and grab the first person and be like "iS THIS HORRIBLE" "i can't even tell anymore" "does it make my bum look big" "honestly" "tell me honestly" "well okay you can flatter me a little but only a little"
MOLLY/DAVID: oh god let's not even talk about the eyes i'm howling. but yeah he'd wonder blankly why she was flirting with him and if she made any sexual innuendos he'd just be like "you should probably be forewarned" "i am rubbish in bed".
LETHA/FAYE: ooh this sounds quite fun actually. i think faye's main reaction would just be eye-rolling or withering looks, and a few well-chosen sarcastic comments. i think she'd just feel letha had a really nasty nature underneath it all and she'd not take to that at all. but she wouldn't be too hard on her if ainsley was around - i just don't think she'd be able to hold her tongue if letha said something she really didn't like!!
LETHA/DANNI: danni probably wouldn't get in her way unless danni thought letha was being a bitch in which case she'd just say it, but mostly danni's just out to have a marvellous time as well so there probably wouldn't be any friction, i don't think she'd know letha well enough. she probably thinks letha is unfairly gorgeous, as well, and will tell her so!!
LETHA/SEB: oh god i don't blame her at all (faye's the same way, every time seb tries to flirt with her she just gives him a murderous look and he laughs nervously), seb's a dumb. well i don't mind, whichever you think works, (seb gets enough action for about three people so it's not like he'll wither away if she doesn't snog him) (even though she is so beautiful) so whatever you think!!
also i saw your wanted ad and i'm shaking my head somebody take letha's little brother and the older guy somebody do it for all of us because they're both perf

If she buys Jack a probably-not-poisoned drink Jack will have to start being passive-aggressive with presents too. Literally he's so pathetic any time a student shows the slightest inclination to get involved with DADA as a career he'll be collecting pamphlets and stuff to give to him and hoping Al will come ask him for advice. If Albus owled that would be great, but Jack's more than happy to meet for coffee or something and talk things out in person! He likes doing things that way more, it means there's a more sort of open forum for questions and concerns and stuff.

Again Letha would definitely know of Lily, haha - Harry Potter's kids I've always imagined to still be a big deal most of the time? Even if like nobody really says anything it would still be a thing. I don't know if that's how you're playing it but ANYWAY mostly it just boils down to Letha definitely knows who Lily is, but probably unfortunately doesn't pay her a huge amount of attention. She'd be nice definitely if they got partnered up in class or something? She's not the kind of person who's mean just for the sake of it, like she can be super friendly and chatty when she wants to. But yeah I can't really see them becoming fast friends or anything, haha, I think they're too fundamentally different...

If he's up for partying with her then Letha likes him instantly, most definitely. I think he's a prefect, yeah? So she'd know who he is. But yeah outside of the odd massive social gathering that they both happened to be at I'm not sure they'd interact much

I LOVE HIM. I LOVE DAVID. Jack would definitely be very interested in the cats oh yes glad they're so happy by the way is David okay? Getting on in the adult world? I'm laughing oh my god I can just see Jack dropping by to give Rupert something and there's David standing forlornly in front of the washing machine and like two hours later Rupert gets back and there's Jack sat at the kitchen table drawing David up a list of instructions for how to do Adult Things. Maybe a lesson in tax returns.
JACK AND DOMINIQUE
I'M CRYING CAN WE MAKE THIS HAPPEN?? Jack will be all oh okay one little drink at a nice pub before I go back to school just to check they're prepared for their first September not at Hogwarts in seven years and then somehow it's four in the morning and they've had to pack Chloe home in a taxi and Jack's trying to herd them all home but god when did his vision get so fuzzy and then it ends up with all of them in a park somewhere singing very loudly and badly. Jack is not a bad drunk he's just a happy one so everything seems like the most marvellous fun. He'd definitely get them home eventually but he'd just want to enjoy the time with them because god he's going to miss them so much. Jack treasures the notion that Dom is a secret sweetheart. She's not, but he's selective about the facts he chooses to back this up. The hug would definitely cement that.

Oh my god please let Jack help her please please. It would break his heart if she pushed him away because he just really wants his students to achieve all they could and if they do a couple of lessons he'll pick up pretty quickly that she operates much better with a calm environment oh pleeeeaasseeee. God Ly really does just adore Dominique. I mean it's a really blind love like he'd probably eat her if she did something to really badly disrupt some work he was doing but then he'd feel so bad. Which almost never happens. I bet they're so physical with each other too I mean like they're always shoving/hitting each other and it probably really hurts but they're tough yeah they'd never admit it. Lysander would definitely come to her match (he'd be frightened to say no) but he'd sit in the stands with no clue what was going on and probably cheer for the wrong team by mistake and then get distracted by some pet in the crowd. He'd bring his dog and dress him up in a little doggie version of her team's quidditch colours.

Well Seb is very gorgeous and very funny (whether intentionally or not!!) and I am 95% convinced Letha would fall for the charm, but yeah she probably would refuse him if he came onto her out of deference to Ainsley because she'd be worried it would piss her off if Letha snogged her cousin!! Not because she hates Seb himself or anything. She'd actually be way flattered if he did try it on with her omg.

if i didn't reply to one of the relationships it's just because i have nothing to add and i don't want to have you drowning under my loser characters
JACK/DAVID: oh god david would probably stick the "adult things" list to the fridge and be super pleased with himself and then need a slip of paper the next day or whatever and have to use it and it'd result in the entire list being half-hidden under david's moronic scribbles and he'd be like why did i do this to myself i had all of the answers
JACK/DOM: CALLING ALL GRYFFINDOR GIRLS TO GET JACK HEWER HORRENDOUSLY DRUNK. because if any girls can manage it it's those girls!! and oh lordy dominique would make sure no one would leave before they were absolutely hammered and she'd take tons of embarrassing pictures of him and then send him a few of them every now and then just to remind him that she's never ever ever going to let him forget that she wants to be the bane of his existence.

CHLOE/DAVID: oh my god their household would be hilarious, they'd be the sort of family that'd always be rushing around and one of the cats is stuck in the laundry basket and all of the kids are completely mischievous and up-in-the-air and every time david tries to cook they all applaud him and then throw it out and get pizza instead. and seb wouldn't be able to keep up with all of the cat names and david would be like "no no" "that's beetroot" "and that's radish" "and that's captain morgan"

Chloe's just going to invite Devyn outright (she assumes Seb will just go back and forth over it so she's just going to bite the bullet and do it) and she'll invite Danni at the same time!! Oh man these two cutes they are so adorable Chloe will be really thrilled with the gift because presents oh man she falls in love for at least five minutes with anybody who buys her a present it's a real problem

I am laughing so hard it would be like the house in Outnumbered? Only the parents would be contributing to the chaos instead of trying to get a grip on it and then there will just be like eight cats in the mix I'm screaming it would be the most fun but terrifying house ever. They'd definitely end up with a child like Karen I can just see it

Are you kidding me?? David is like one of my top five favourite characters on this site I've been wanting an excuse to thread with him since you made him first time around!! So YES PLEASE. Lara will be knocked her on her ass by him being so delighted I'm seriously I don't think she's ever given anybody outside of her family a present and she'll be so so pleased and just bubbly inside because of it
LYSANDER AND DOMINIQUE
YES like sometimes Lorcan will come home to his and Ly's flat and there's just Lysander pinned to the ground in the centre of the sitting room with Dom yanking on his hair and screaming "YOU SAID YOU'D GIVE ME A PIGGY-BACK" and Lysander just sort of yelling wordlessly in frustration. But then like five minutes later they're sat sharing ice cream discussing the travelling theme park in town. He'd give her piggy-backs though. She'd hop up and he'd just fucking take it and carry on with the conversation like nothing had happened
MOLLY AND DANNI
Anybody that sweet and friendly and interested is an instant friend in Molly's books SORRY Danni can't get away now haHA. God they're going to have such a lovely friendship I'M EXCITED

Oh god poor little Seb. If he does a puppy face Letha will probably end up being like "no no I definitely would I just don't want to hurt Ainsley's feelings.... stop with the face.... stop it"
I am up for ALL OF THOSE! I need threads for Molly and I want Lara and Ly in more so that's perfect!! I can start Molly/Danni and Lara/David if you want if you don't terribly mind starting the Dom/Ly one? And we can wait to see if anyone else is on board for the Gryffindor girls + Jack one haha |

I think we were thinking just the Gryffindor girls! Because they were Jack's little pack, you know? It might be a bit odd for him to go out with them since he won't have known them too well outside the context of his lessons.... not to say we shouldn't do a yearwide thread because we should at some point!! I'm just not sure Jack would be comfortable with that he wouldn't think it was appropriate

CHLOE/DANNI: oh gosh even though seb will know devyn will have been invited he'll be all "ugh why is she here" and even though he'll be pretty cheery at the party he'll grab chloe for five minutes just so he can sulk in her general direction for her inviting devyn. but anyways danni will be thrilled if chloe likes the gift!
CHLOE/DAVID: OUTNUMBERED IS A SHOW EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH. and yes that's actually the most perfect comparison?? and i can totally imagine like you know that scene where karen's running away, i can imagine the kid being all "goodbye daddy i am leaving" and david cheerily assuming they're taking the mick and then wave and then realise they're walking very far away and start chasing after them

YES OH MY GOD I cannot stop laughing I want them to get married now??? And fuck have you been watching the latest season because the oldest comes home and it eventually comes out that he's got himself a tattoo and Chloe just makes angry clucking noises and David assesses it and decides it looks like a spider and then they all start calling him Spiderboy and then the same week they're having issues because the youngest has started doing "accidental" magic on purpose at school because she doesn't like any of the kids they're making her sit by and then the cat does a hairball on top of another kid's homework and the kid has a screaming fit I'm CRYING their house would be amazing. And there's one wildly dramatic evening which is just more than the usual chaos and there's screaming and running around and wailing and probably blood and they finally finally get it under control and it transpires Seb's been there the whole time buried in the chaos doing his own wailing in confusion

i just realised that i actually had a thing to reply to in here lol RICKY AND LETHAAwesome, that sounds great! And I'd love to thread them some time! LILY AND LETHAYeah, I always assume people have at least heard of the Potter kids, lol (with the notable exception of Sebastian Nott who had no idea Lily existed even though he's good friends with her brother). Lily kind of goes through life hoping people won't notice her though, lol. LOUIS AND LETHALouis is always up for partying, and just about anything else too. LYSANDER/VERA - they were in the same year and vera's SUPER friendly so she'd love to talk to lysander some time  TEDDY/MOLLY - DUDE VERA/MOLLY - ex dormmates. good friends? if molly wanted to talk to her about the teddy thing, it's up to you as to how close they were but i can see these two also having tons of mindless fun together. EDIT: I JUST saw the letter to rupert and the hewer thread starter. i'm going to college soon but i'll come and reply to it by tonight, max! |

hi hi hi wow i've been meaning to do this for a while but kept forgetting to get around to it so we should maybe continue/finish our twitter conversation yes??
jack/all my characters - i believe they'd all be his students, right? leo is graduated, i'm sure he loved jack as his head of house and maybe sends him letters on his progress post-graduation like some students do with their old favorite teachers you know??
addie is a ravenclaw, and he seems like a great teacher so therefore she'd automatically adore him, and i'm sure she's always asking questions in his class because she wants to know everything about the wizarding world ever, being a muggle-born.
as for julian, he probably doesn't speak much in class (he's one of those annoying kids who doesn't pay much attention and therefore irritates the teachers but then magically has the right answers when called upon and does well on tests too) so i'm not sure he would take much notice of jack beyond being another one of his teachers, though i think he does reasonably well in dada! he seems like the type, anyway
chloe/leo - he was two years older than her and in the same house so i'm sure he knows of her (especially since his little sister cassie was chloe's housemate and yearmate) and is probably pretty friendly with her! leo's my angel, he's always super friendly, so you can decide what chloe thinks of him but i'd wager he's pretty cool with her (gryffindor pride and all) and would stop to chat if she walked into honeydukes while he's working or something
chloe/addie and julian - different years and houses, i'm afraid; though julian would likely find her annoying if she was on his radar at all, and addie on the other hand would like her quite a lot if they were classmates, i imagine (and she is cousins with addie's best friend ainsley so maybe they do know of each other?)
lara/julian - i'll only list him because he's in her house, though not her year, and unfortunately he's also rather quiet and reserved so i doubt he'd notice her much especially if she's the same way aha but who knows, if you think they'd be fun to rp together, we can try it out once they're at hogwarts!
lysander/addie - same house, different year, but addie is a lot like leo in that she likes to get to know her fellow housemates as much as she can so i'm sure she'd say hi if she ran into him and probably had a few scattered friendly conversations with him in the common room during their overlapping years?? (she would also probably want to tap that just because it's dave franco but he might be a bit too shy around girls to properly get on her radar there haha)
molly's in a different year and house from all my characters so far, i'm afraid (though i do have a hufflepuff in the works, but she'd be a year younger, i think, but we can figure that out when i actually get around to that haha)
letha/addie - so, same year, different houses, however addie has a gaggle of inter-house friends including ainsley who's friends with letha and in the same house, i believe? so i'm sure they know each other and i think addie would get on fine with letha! she works will with gryffindors as she has a lot of their traits tbh so they could be good friends if you want?
letha/julian - same year, different houses, again, but i'm afraid julian is a loner and he's only got eyes for one gryffindor girl so far so i'm not entirely sure what letha would think of him aha let me know how you think they should go!
letha/leo - same house, different year, but like i said, leo likes to be friends with gryffindors and though she's a few years below him i think he'd be cool with her overall!
